  1. Bunch of troublemaking twats who were only there for confrontation and if some got pushed, fell over, got struck with a batten for threatening the hard working police well that’s just tough - should have stayed at home. All those officers trying to keep control of a pointless protest that could be out catching burglars, murderers, paedophiles etc. Everyone moans that nothing being done about the real crimes, yet waste the valuable resources of those that try to keep law and order .not defending the incompetent, bent, lazy ones as there are a few of those, but on the whole most try to do a good job whilst being hamstrung by increasing mounds If paperwork and political correctness. rant over!
  2. What you don’t want to see sticking out of a stump when grinding! gave me a bit of a scare but it was a short 6 inch section right in the middle of a horrible lime 6ft across, left a bit too high by the chainsaw. Two feet above ground to two below, bricks, concrete, roof tiles etc. 8 builders bags of arisings and took double the time I expected ☹️

    light guards

Plenty on fleabay 50 to 70 quid delivered ?
  4. Yes this - sorry should have added the second press as well. Early morning post over breakfast ?
  5. Full choke, compression valve pushed in, couple of pulls it should cough, half choke then you need to properly commit to a pull - can bite knuckles if you don’t! Should fire up within a pull or three
  6. Chop it up for firewood, season for two years and sell with delivery or use yourself. one stem wouldn’t be worth the transport costs to collect - you need a lorry load with roadside access to make it economical. get it into manageable chunks and you may get £20-£30 on Facebook, gumtree etc
  7. Get yourself one of these fly curtains with the magnet closure in the middle Steve- reduces the amount we get in by 99%. got three cats so they were always coming in for the food bowls, now get hardly any flies ?
  8. In the heat at the moment any felting is going to be a nightmare - best to do early morning or give it a week or two to cool down a bit
  9. Had a Porsche 924 at 19 in 1985 which was 450 to insure. Doesn’t sound much now but previous car was a 3 year old mk3 escort estate which was 124.00 to insure so over 3 1/2 times the price of a fairly normal car ☹️ Enjoyed that for a year and was saving for a 911 after but got my sensible head on and bought first house instead
  10. Ordered a few bits including 25l of oil 15 days ago. Chased it after a week, 2 emails later was told it would go out last Wednesday and be with me Thursday minus a couple of bits that would follow later. still nothing has arrived 5 days later but allegedly it has been despatched today. Too late now as bought chain oil elsewhere. Incidentally bought a few other things from well known online garden/arb retailers on the same day and it all arrived within 3 days
  11. Or do it in banking hours, go into their bank and get cashier to do it ( if there’s one near you still of course)? Check on your phone to ensure it’s been paid in
  12. 161T with AP200 battery 3.92kg had it three weeks and absolutely love it! 150 hasn’t been out of the truck since this arrived ?
  13. Maybe a slightly different layout, but on my 530 the see through gauge is at the bottom of the attached pic
  14. I stopped using Hermes a couple of years ago - used to send out 15-20 parcels a week and it got to the stage they were losing, damaging or customers were disputing receiving parcels 10% of the time. Was too stressful and time consuming chasing these up so went back to Royal Mail for under two kilos, collect plus for a bit heavier and then TNT, DPD etc for anything bigger. hermes are cheap for a reason - they’re crap!
  15. Is this swimming pool or fish pond? Either way with trees nearby or overhanging it’ll be loads of extra cleaning which will be a pain and time consuming
  16. A mate takes all fruit woods and beech, odd sizes, shapes and off cuts for smoking meat. Still wait for a sample mind ?
  17. Wouldn’t be without my tripod ladders, an 8ft and a 14ft both with all 3 legs extending giving an extra 18inches. Around 300 and 600 with extra rubber feet. Any decent dealer will assemble and pdi machines. And mine has just beaten online price for a 161t without even asking to price match ? can’t wait for it to arrive
  18. Their unofficial policy seems to be put it in quick and easy, minimal depth and just repair it when someone goes through it. I have dug through two which were several feet away from the straight line they should have taken from the pavement point to the house connection. Both only just sub surface and not in green protective tube, and found one with the stump grinder, also way off course from where it should have been run.
  19. I’d avoid talk talk like the plague! Virgin pretty good but not cheap
  20. Evolution here too for last 3 years. Very good apart from the laser which is not bright enough
