  1. Have a read of the wee chipper thread - plenty of info and opinions on there 👍
  2. Wet two days running here in Essex - staying home doing machine maintenance and paperwork 👍
  3. I burn 50-60% softwood, properly seasoned so no sap or gunk and my chimney sweep says my chimney is spot on. Gets hardly anything out of it on it’s annual clean. Seasoning properly is the key - burn hardwood that’s not dry will gunk up your chimney just as easily
  4. I think the rayco will go down 13” and the rock 10” below ground. Depends on how much it’ll get used? The rayco should last longer so long as it’s been correctly maintained and will hold its value
  5. Bit dear there - cheaper are frjones but 270mm is prob better choice for shorter stature if it’s strapped to your leg or hanging from belt. I’m 5ft 8” and the 330mm in a sawpod is a tad too long for me
  6. Watched this for the first time ever - quite entertaining and better than stopping drunks smashing each other up at work 👍
  7. Happy new year to you all! first year I’ve had nye off for 19 years as always been working on the door so a very odd one for me sitting at home watching tv. Not how I imagined my first free one would be like 😐
  8. Love my curved Zubat, dislike my straight Natanoko - horses for courses 👍
  9. Oh yes - that scruffy bugger is my son that works with me sometimes 😏 looks like I just dragged him out of that hedge!
  10. Call out today to a split and fallen field maple across a garden. Thought we’d all done till next year, everything locked and chained up then the phone went late morning. Got there by 12.30 and away before 2 😁 had previously advised customer a year ago that it needed seriously reducing or preferably removing as the base was in poor condition. will be back to remove the other two stems first job in January if the wind doesn’t bring it down before then 👍
  11. Cold wind but dry finally here in mid Essex. Mate from Darlington just messaged that they had snow this morning
  12. I had the same and found magnum boots in wide, half or full size up if possible with these inside helped over time Ultra Soothers memory Orthotic insoles, heel pain plantar Fasciitis WWW.EBAY.CO.UK For conditions such as plantar fasciitis and general foot pains. Self forming -...
  13. Will the police twig on and catch them?
  14. Reinforced steel joist used in construction
  15. Still in the loft, decorated and wrapped in bin bags from last year. Not bothering this year as have a 5month old kitten who would have it over in a heartbeat 😂 hopefully next year she’ll take no notice of it like the other three 👍
  16. If you put your location I’m sure someone on here would be able to quote you
  17. Regular customer of mine bought a modern mustang at the age of 82, sold it two years later and got a civic VTR as the mustang was a bit too big for, in his words “blatting round the country lanes”

    Climber

If you put what area you’re in it’ll help ?
  19. Just say - oh that old thing, it’s been at the back of the workshop for years ? that’s what I say whenever a “new” fishing rod appears!
  20. £100 a day to drive into lez in an older vehicle ☹️ And I believe £500 fine if caught without paying. takes the proverbial. luckily I only had two customers within the zone so didn’t hurt too much to lose them
  21. I have the Bison one - quite a decent bit of kit for the price. Better than a couple of unbranded ones I have tried

    Cabstar

Ok that’s great thanks - just there are mounting points for one either side on my 2002 plate and was concerned about road spray getting into the alternator or any other electrics?

    Cabstar

Anyone here run an older cabstar with the engine accessed under the seat? just got one a couple of weeks ago as a stopgap as my usual truck having some major work done to it. my query is about the liners either side of the engine that protect it from road spray- not sure what they look like as mine are missing and hoping someone could post a couple of pics up please? just got some sent by a breakers yard and doubt very much that they have sent the correct parts (and charged a fortune for them too) ☹️ thanks in advance
