  1. The efi engine has fuel injection so no carb to have problems with. No other experience from me I’m afraid 👍
  2. Wow I’m not surprised- looks pretty lethal!
  3. I believe it’s to keep the boring insects away - not the uninteresting ones, the ones that will damage the timber 😏
  4. I turned one down today too - was doing a standard Connie hedge top and trim, not been done for three years, very patchy and poor condition. First time we’ve done it and the customer is delighted with what we managed to achieve. the next door neighbour has exactly the same continuation of the line and we did them 6 years ago - not touched them since. Was a nightmare to climb through, no footholds, 15ft wide. He knocked me down on price (my mistake accepting that), quibbled over price for fencing we supplied and was generally a pain. He asked me to do his as well straight after today, in the pouring rain - err no! What not today? No not at all - not interested and I recommended he calls someone else. Found out that the kitchen fitter, and a bathroom fitter have both refused to quote him for further work so reckon I dodged a bullet there 👍
  5. Surely it’s just not worth the risk to undertake that journey just for a race? Sometimes you’ve got to admit that things are just not that important to risk life for? Hope he stays safe 👍
  6. Our postie is pretty good and we even get Sunday deliveries on a regular basis. Not more than a mile from the sorting office so if we do miss a signed for it’s easy enough to collect
  7. You may struggle getting much response from Elizabeth 🤣
  8. My initial thought reading the headline was that lump Gemma Collins 🤣
  9. As Mick says. Oaks are usually longer gaps between reductions. We would normally say 5-7 in urban settings, longer depending on proximity to buildings. We have one however that we do every 3 years as by then it’s touching the neighbours gutters. Typical new build estate where the houses are crammed in as close as possible around existing trees. Usual is somewhere between 2 and 3.5m off - lots of varying factors
  10. Morning all 😁 Long day yesterday finishing with 5 friends at ours till 12.30ish. Fair bit of alcohol consumed and getting ready to start all over again next door at 3pm. Log burner roaring and having a chilled morning so far 👍
  11. The greatest visionary politician bar none - he was vilified at the time and called a racist for years after but he hit the nail on the head
  12. It’s only a matter of time before these fanatics succeed unfortunately. Their numbers are rising weekly via small boats and a high birth rate. They will become more emboldened and extreme as years roll on. Read this in 2035 and tell me I was wrong. I'm in my twilight years but fear for our offspring and their children. They will be looking back at our generation, society and governments and wondering “how the fxxk did they let that happen” 😡
  13. Not our cooking, but going round next doors on Boxing Day and they have said - We have everything from Turkey, Venison, Salmon, Lobster, prawns, beef Wellington, caviar I think it may be stretchy jogging bottoms that day!
  14. Pic comes up blank with a question mark on iPhone Les?
  15. I also looked at TW and the salesman seemed a bit clueless- I knew more about the machine than he did and I’d never seen a 230 in the flesh. Quoted me a price a couple of k higher than on their website - then asked me where I had seen that price 🤣 And spare wheel with mounting bracket at 450.00 I thought was a joke too
  16. Wasn’t my most enjoyable day/week but I’m still here 👍 MRI booked this coming Saturday. So far it’s just been a whole load of medication and dietary changes
  17. I had heard a rumour to that effect a few weeks ago. Had been trying to buy one from main dealer in September to no avail - nothing coming into the country apparently? I decided to hold off big purchases after my heart attack in early October and have had no contact at all from the dealer - surprising as I really wanted a new 530 and would have been an easy sale
  18. Unfortunately it’s the nanny state not allowing some platforms, obviously adult content etc. YouTube will be no problem 👍
  19. Goat willow isn’t too popular either 👍
  20. Our very own @Steve Bullman 👍
  21. Morning all - last grass cut of the year for a local doctors surgery, clear the car park of leaves etc. dry would have been nice but light rain here from 8am - at least it’s a bit warmer
  22. My Dad suffered from it too so guessing it runs in the family. He was also diabetic which thankfully I’m not as yet 👍
  23. I feel your pain! I missed two years of skiing until I got heated gloves and was put on Coracten tablets to ease Reynaulds. Felt like my fingers had been hit with a hammer even with very expensive skiing gloves on. I’m not sure which meds do what yet but am on blood thinners, statins, beta blockers and a few others. Hoping that next week’s MRI and a follow up in a couple of weeks will give some idea of what can be done. Already fed up of not being able to do my share on each job
  24. Same here - sat in the truck with the engine running and the heating on. Battery heated gloves are helping but with all the meds since my heart problems my circulation seems to be worse than ever. Glad the younger lads are stepping up and taking more responsibility 👍
  25. Had the Echo Pole Pruner something like a PT2400 a few years ago with the extra 1.5m (?) extension - huge reach but a bit unwieldy. Machine is long gone but I still have the extension in our unit somewhere if anyone would be interested at £75.00 ?
