  1. Suburbs of county town, mile from the centre and two miles to open countryside. Have had muntjac, pheasant, partridge and ducks walking in the road and garden
  2. We have them come through the garden regularly, most nights caught on camera but also sometimes during the day. Nearly got next doors hen as she was always out free. They look for a weak point, open hatches, doors etc every time. A month ago one vixen didn’t leave
  3. @shavey
  4. Because that’s how close boarded with gravel boards and concrete posts is worked out. If it’s arris rail and post then work out per meter as the centres vary from 1.8, 2.4 and 3m
  5. Three of my four new additions from the British Hen Welfare Trust. settled in very well and prolific egg layers. Not shy at all - were obviously well looked after and handled to be so tame
  6. Morning all - rather damp weekend away in a mates caravan with other halves and dog. Only 25 miles from home but it’s a break from constant work 👍
  7. That’s Pampas Grass, allegedly, so I’m told by a friend!
  8. Swift recovery peds- keep us posted 👍
  9. Leave it till winter- just not worth the coughing, choking, potentially vomiting. No employer should be asking you to do these in the summer. only minimal work if it’s an emergency then as Mick says above 👍
  10. As woody says, you may need a felling licence for over a certain amount of cubic meters per quarter. Whereabouts in Essex are you? I’m in Chelmsford and have a JoBeau200 you could see in use.
  11. Rob D from chainsaw bars sells Panther chains via eBay as well as direct. I’ve found them good so far but my climber has had a couple of rivets snap so you pays yer money and takes yer choice I guess.
  12. Laburnum is great firewood 👍 if you can stop it splitting it’s sought after for wood turning
  13. Saw Motörhead twice in the eighties and nineties when I still had hair - absolutely brilliant and legendary performances 👍
  14. As spud says - bamboo travels a long way and is a b……rd to get rid of effectively
  15. Can you name and shame them? Might be other stolen kit they have listed that could be returned to rightful owners?
  16. Did they give them up voluntarily or did you need to apply a bit of persuasion?
  17. Bark looks like Ash to me. Have you any close ups of the leaves?

    Eh!

I’d make sure I was there on the day it gets installed. Had a similar situation with developers next to me - full blown told them to F off when they were going to pull out my less than 18month old 6ft close boarded fence and install a 7ft one further over into mine to “straighten the line”. Bollocks will you! Made them erect their fence almost touching mine - not fussed about the height. Then I planted Leylandi and Laurels all along the boundaries. They hated me already as I purchased two gardens that they were after to put another house on. I offered my neighbours the same price and I’ve planted it all up with fruit trees interspersed with log storage structures
  19. It’s the op who has the house in Portugal 👍
  20. plus there were no cheap replacement chains as it is a fine pitch. Rotatech do direct replacements, as do Panther, available from Rob D at chainsawbars 👍
  21. Similar vein are these two that I had got into lovely shape 3 years ago. Maybe customer has moved, or just didn’t want to shell out to get it done properly? Now wrecked ☹️
  22. A decent stump grinder would sort that in a morning. Whereabouts is it located? What’s the width of access?
