  2. I would love to oblige, but despite my best efforts with the search facility, I believe I have never mentioned Biden on this forum at all.
  3. Some escaped from a council owned petting zoo near where I lived in Lancashire, late 80’s. They survived some pretty harsh Winters and eventually settled in a privately owned woodland, where they multiplied and where noticed by the local poachers. They are pretty fast, but unfortunately, slower than a lurcher, they are all gone now.
  4. I had a quote from a dealer in Bellac for the same saw, it came in at €1900 with the unit, charger and the bigger battery. I went and had a demo, first thing that struck me was the weight, it actually weighs about the same as my 572xpg. The performance was pretty impressive to be fair, certainly the best battery saw that I have used, the new large battery IS essential though. Unfortunately, gunning it through bar length hardwood sapped a fully charged battery in around the same time it took for the oil tank reserve indicator to flash on, so I would need at least 3 batteries and the ability to charge them to do a days cutting, I left with a 592xpg.
  5. I know @justinkingwell rates them and there’s not many people demolish as many stumps as them
  6. Just keep spending money on shite that doesn’t actually keep you dry then.

  8. Converted the splitter today. It was a doddle, no drilling or grinding required, just had to rotate the valve rod 90 deg with a socket. Handle from Flowfit via eBay. IMG_0320.mov
  9. I think you’re spot on!
  10. Hello all, My name is Robert Cole, I'm an ex-tree surgeon and now a PhD researcher at the Countryside and Community Research Institute, University of Gloucestershire. I'm currently exploring woodland creation in the UK to better understand what is driving who to plant forests. I'm currently looking to talk to those that have planted woodland to hear about the decision making that went on before the work started. It would be great to hear about things such as what factors were important in this process, any trade offs that were made, and whether any other plans were being considered for the site. I'm equally interested to talk to anyone who might have been looking into planting but decided against it to get a sense of what stood in the way of your plans. If you, or anyone you know, would be open to talk I would really appreciate it. I would be more than happy to email over more details about the research or introduce myself over the phone. I've put my university email here and am happy to share my mobile through a private message. All the best, Rob. [email protected]
  11. Yes I had a 4g antenna fitted, and it worked for a couple of months. When I complained they upgraded it to 5g but it hasn’t worked at all for over a year. You see it isn’t my home it is my work site and in the middle of a forest so trees get in the way for phone signal.

If you mean the battery version, I've replaced the micro switch. It's really not that involved. Turns out mine was just a bit dirty and just needed a wipe, though I still replaced it with the new one as I had it all apart.
  13. Some idea of price would be informative
  14. I always went around 70% what the local builders merchants were selling at. If 4x2 was £1 a metre i was 70p that worked out quite well. Mainly external timber so seasoned stuff made no difference all douglas fir or larch. All the outer rounds from the logs after you cube it up would be cut and bagged for fire wood hardly any waste. Saw dust was the main thing to get rid off but the horse guys will take that for bedding. Facebook marketplace is as good as anywhere.
  15. To an extent. This is worth a watch: Watch LOL: Last One Laughing UK Season 1 – Prime Video WWW.PRIMEVIDEO.COM 10 comedians. One rule. Do not laugh. Jimmy Carr has assembled ten of the UK's funniest people in one room and set them the... Local comedy clubs are rammed.
  16. Wordle 1,679 2/6 ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Stick that in ya pipe, can't remember the last time I had a two!
  17. More like the other way round- people are pulling money out of crypto and overvalued American stocks into a safe haven. silver in particular has been suppressed via paper shorts for years. Central banks are on a big gold shopping spree to meet Basel 3, the dollar is going down the pan, and war is everywhere.
  18. I asked a soil scientist about adding ash to soil, he said to do it very sparingly. I think it's quite harsh. Excessive alkalinity can inhibit the uptake of other mineral nutrients.

  24. Just purchased a 550xp cylinder which was obviously overheating due to its orangy/brown colour. Anyone used any type of cleaner successfully so it's back to silver alloy colour? Thanks
  25. Can anyone remind me if the DVSA will send the necessary paperwork for an age-related licence renewal automatically as my birthday approaches or do I need proactively to obtain the forms? I'm coming up to number 65 and can't remember what happened five years ago. Many thanks,
  26. THE big man?
