  2. Hi. I visited a site yesterday and I have to say the vast majority had me stumped. Can anyone help with these? A combination of young trees and shrubs. First two pics are the same tree then all the others are different.
  3. Hi everyone. I've heard it stated a few times that increase buttress flair and fluting is an indication of internal rot in Populus nigra x Italica. I've never seen this myself and can't find any reference to studies showing this. Does anyone have photographic examples of what to look for, or a failed tree showing the fluting to be concerned about? The species naturally has buttress flair and fluting so I'm trying to establish how it would look different from the norm. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  4. Any ideas on this one? Leaflets look like sorbus intermedia but more of an Ash or Rowan arrangement. Stem looked identical to an adjacent False acacia. Approx 8m height 🤔
  5. Hello. I think this is Benthams cypress (Cupressus lusitanica var. Benthamii). Does anyone disagree? Don't want to misidentify as something unusual and have it turn out to be something very common! The spikes/hooks below the sprays seem like a clue. Sprays are flattish. Not as obviously flat as Thuja but definitely not round. Pale yellow flowers currently visible. No cones to aid identification.
