  1. I have the same tree in garden its no problem suckers just get mowed so hardly even notice them/they haven't spread much & iv'e left some suckers that have grown to turn into new trees (the orginal tree died a few ys back.) Also potted several up fot other people. Personally if it was my garden i'd just let some grow to hide that eyesore rubbish & just trim the rest down. If you want to get rid of completely could remove tidy rubbish/rubble then cut mow or strim area like lawn & repeat. Or use a shed load of chemicals ? Eradication may be tricky though & take several yrs. Maybe swerve this job as not worth the hassle.
  2. Bought the makita battery hedge trimmer https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/makita-duh601z-18v-lxt-600mm-23-6-brushless-hedge-trimmer-body-only So far it seems good only used it once though. Using 5amph battery Apprently has the identical motor inside as the makita impact wrench (can't find the info now, but it was on the blurb on some foreign Makita website not the UK one)
  3. Why not just use a pressure washer blast them off?
  4. PLUM POCKET on blackthorn
  5. Prog was on last night, alot of the plasic the UK is "recycling" is ending up dumped in Malaysia alot burn't on a large scale... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-48572167
  6. I find using blade alot slower speed doing grass & also leaves less tidy finish. Also do alot of strimming along fences and walls. Blades cut straight though the pig netting if you catch it ? They should really made all new strimmer line bio though Scythe would be most eco ? I do sometimes strim larger open areas (but thats not really the job for what a strimmer is designed for)
  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysbaric_osteonecrosis#Prevalence Diving sounds like a cause from reading this ^
  8. Get though alot of strimmer lines every year so was just looking at the bio stuff as less plastic into the enviro etc. https://www.oregonproducts.eu/site/products/biotrim/Biotrim_flyer_en.pdf Anyone tried it compared to regular stuff etc? From some reviews it wears down at twice the rate, thus abit more expensive & hassle i suppose....

  12. The new makita hegde trimmers looks decent: https://www.makitauk.com/product/duh601z.html Odd that its got a bigger max branch diameter than the double battery one? Heres a review I found: https://opereviews.com/landscaping/hedge-trimmers/makita-cordless-hedge-trimmer-xhu07t-review/ Also they do a double battery multi tool pretty expensive though if you add cost of with different attchments etc.: https://www.makitauk.com/product/dux60z.html
  13. Looks like thoose mars rover ones: https://www.google.com/search?q=mars+rover+tyres&client=firefox-b-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwikwJ7i8NbiAhUYTxUIHcIrBOUQ_AUIECgB&biw=1680&bih=936

  16. Bosch reckon there new batteries are same as a 1600w corded power tool: https://shop.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/product/battery-pack-procore18v-8-0ah--46960--1600A016GK You think they would do a topper for it to fit in.

  22. Mulch is good but near on impossible to get rid of all weeds under a hedge if they were really well established, as hard to dig all roots out of nettles etc. Mulch now after weeding then just try & keep on top of stuff as it they returns but proabbably takes yrs to get rid of all. Least Neetles and cleavers aint has bad as ground elder couch grass or convovulus
  23. What will you use em for?
