  4. So maybe they should of repointed the slipway slab joints with some Non-shrink cementitious grout for underwater installation conforming to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 Class R4? https://www.arconsupplies.co.uk/uploads/pdfs/conbextra_uw_tds.pdf Instead of having trees sprouting between slabs... Also why does the slipway get narrower instead of wider or straight down on the side it failed? Shouldn't it be the other way round?
  5. Even the mini is fat nowadays Isn't cars getting wide all to do with encap ratings and side impact airbags etc? Also they have to fit fat people which is the majority now... Also think abit about fashion also.
  6. What type of rubbish? plastic crap bale warp etc or just stones? Dunno why a manure heap should have got alot of rubbish or stone in it?

  8. Why planting alot of trees large enough to need stakes? I reckon smaller trees establish better and after a few yrs will catch up you could you then use bamboo... Durablity depends on if stakes are hardwood or softwood I suppose, some are robina that is suppose to last well...
  9. What inceased maintenace could have prevented the slipway failure?

  13. Depends where you are there is quite alot locally near the slate quarries. Yon can still get them new from penrhyn I think. £15 each someone told me...few yrs ago.
  14. . Used mine recently to pull up some of this type of slate fencing some was nearly 3ft deep ?
  15. Same locally, one got a few million £ grant lottery money? but don't seem do that much. Now have atm I think 2 payed employeed that don't seem to do much of anything. Another different one locally had big grants but run up debts and then went bust. Apparently a few favoured local contractors were charging them crazy amounts to do jobs.

  18. Northern polytunnels are good quality tubing Easy-Build Polytunnel Kits - Northern Polytunnels WWW.NORTHERNPOLYTUNNELS.CO.UK High-quality polytunnel kits with a lifetime guarantee - shop online for free UK delivery. Always go for the double door version for ventilation. The alu doors are expensive especially for a smaller tunnel as % of cost. Thy used too do be basic double wooden door option on wooden frame. The overhead sprinklers doesn't reach the last few ft @ the sides on a 12ft. but 12ft ventilate alot better than longer narrower tunnels & you can grow stuff down the middle to full height like cucumber & climbing french beans melons etc.
  19. North Wales. Never thought it might be a stray cat, do see some random stray cats around ocasionally. Have a pet cat that eats alot of rabbits & pheasants, its never shown interest in hens even when had chicks ducklings etc.
  20. That topper looks tiny must be a giant? ?
  21. Thanks for the suggestions Gonna strim & trim as its become abit of jungle along one side of boundary that borders on a clawdd/hegderow. Then will be able to see any holes/animals tracks/traces better Used a camera before yrs ago on the hen house pop hole & it caught magpies stealing eggs whole without breaking them. Seen a few dead polecats on road over last yr or so, having never seen one before that. So thinking it might be one squeezing though a hole somewhere. Hmmm...? Neighbour had a whole load of hens killed at once but iv'e never had that happen.
  22. Just lost another chicken last evening to a fox... Brand new chicken only bought 2 days ago. Chickens are keep in a outdoor run & get locked in a shed at night. Its about the 3rd one over the last 5 months its always only one hen at a time. Only 1 only 2 feathers & no other traces left each time. Always the youngest & most healthy chicken also ? Previous times before they last 3 there was always alot more feathers.... (That was before the fence when they were free range in field) Fence is about 5ft but it must be jumping it? Could be something else not a fox? Any suggestions apart from re-doing whole fence higher. Area is large about 25m X 25m

  24. Stupid persons idea of a clever person. If he had say a brummie accent he could say the exact same, and not be taken seriously, but certain people have undue respect for posh sounding people by some kind of weird warped logic that posher automatically = clever so treat his every innnane word like hes some kind genius oracle. Same with bumbling Boris. Both have realized content isn't important. "Eton Trumps" throw in a a few latins phrases to impress the serfs
