2. Sandy I have only ever seen that sort of fracture in a pin when a machine is used with one of those hydraulic breakers. Bob
3. I think there is about six cube of spill kit in the back of the Mog Bob
4. Things have changed in recent years Johny, there are hundreds of scumbags banged up for cold calling and robbing the elderly. Its taken very seriously, the police can chase that cheque back to whoever cashed it and take it from there. Bob
5. I would be more annoyed that some Caravan Utilising Nomadic Tree Surgeon has had the cheek to cold call and talk the old boy into something he clearly did not want doing. Track them down Stubby and call the police. Bob

 I originally thought it was instagran , some kind of perverted pensioners service. I had a similar problem when I thought I saw my name on a loaf of bread in the supermarket ,my mistake it actually read " thick cut". Yes its an old one. Bob
7. If the job could stand the transport from Guildford and a bit of staying away money our Rayco will do that. PM sent. Bob
8. PTO is about 22" from the floor to center of the shaft as it exits the machine. Then goes to a weird set up of angle drives and belts to take the power down to the mower deck. Bob

10. Two left feet with different DNA could still mean they are off the same person from that neck of the woods, were they webbed feet? Bob

12. Which bit do you want measuring?
13. We had a contract to supply and deliver the tops of oak trees with three sizable forks for climbing frames in kiddies parks, locating them is one thing but getting them down without fracturing them is really hard. We were dropping anything up to five trees just to get one, spec was 12` wide Couple that to the cost of our low loader , telehandler , wide load convoy and it all starts to get a bit expensive. Good while it lasted, I dont think anyone would appreciate how much work and time went into getting these things into place. Bob
14. I dont remember hearing that on top of the pops Bob:001_smile:

At long last it looks like planning for housing is on the cards at my other yard so need to get serious about shifting tons of the excess gear , there are stillages full of hydraulic motors, rams and pumps, there are a load of different winches, I forgot there is a vauxhal Brava 4x4 up there that was up and running ( not the usual rust bucket) heaps of different tractor wheels and tyres, and tiny little antique stump grinder, turner flail parts, and the list goes on. I cant be arsed to list it all so I will just take a load of snaps of it, any sensible offer will be accepted.

We still have a permanent position here for a decent 360 driver with tickets and could do with two cutters for a contract thats running for the next six months. Both need CITB.

18. There have been unconfirmed reports that the grab managed to pick up Al`s wallet. Bob
19. No favours in there Al, they hit me for a beam alignment . That truck is out every day but it is only local, that said you could trust it to go anywhere. Bob
20. The old Transit just went straight through its MOT , nudging 382,000 miles. No advisories
21. Very little domestic tree work, just a few lads and a couple of transits but they are always busy . A lot of site clearance, a hell of of a lot of rhody bashing and mulching, a fair bit of planting , a lot of landscape, and a three/four man team pretty much all year doing track reinstatements , ditching, and civils. Bob
22. I had to stop and have a count up:blushing: Fifteen full time including a lad chasing/pricing contracts , also a few subbies as and when. Our lad in the office keeps the workboard full, I think we have about three or four months work chalked up and a few longer term contracts that will run for years. Bob
23. Social worker, shrink and dogsbody. Bob
24. If its site work you need to streamline hire in or buy a telehandler with a timber beak on the front. With one of those romping around on site work you will probably want to drop a guy off the job rather than employ another one. Bob
