  1. This is so easily done, I have torn pipes off our excavators on bridges and clumped a few with the grab on the timber trailer. I would not be surprised if that driver had been down that road with the same machines on board a few times with no incident and they were just loaded wrongly on this occasion. No loss of life thank god and there will be no wrangling as its pretty much a clear cut case of driver error. One big insurance claim which we all pay for indirectly:thumbdown: Bob
  2. I think some breeds are better off kept in kennels. I am not so sure some of the working strains are suitable as household pets. Most of my terriers live outside all year in kennels which are heated in the winter. Bob
  3. It wAs outsidE a joB we were On eG6 , the lad thats made to drive it hates it Cant think why. boD
  4. I was gas bagging to a lad that was driving one , his company bought five of them and by all accounts they seem ok. Good on fuel and seem to be reliable, not sure how you would get on come chopping in time but I suppose if they last until then you would have saved the difference. Bob
  5. I am going, meeting up with a load of alcoholics that are camping nearby. Bob
  6. Thats in bottles Mr Chest Good call, this is the mk1 so they can go on the mk2 Never know when they can turn up, I keep the white in an old bunded 5000ltr waste oil tank and they even tested that for kero content. They are right up to speed on all the tricks. No going back to cans, funnels and drums now Pete:001_smile: The lads have spotted it so Mick is going to knock up a batch of them and will include a few mods like lifting handles ( cheers monkeybusiness) It reaches ok but I may get a slightly longer hose for the one that gets used with the tractor.
  7. May be ok up your end Mr Block but not around here Bob

I ripped the guts out of a 4x4 delica and use it as a mobile toolbox/dog kennel/towbarge, it goes in and out of steep dips/climbs none of our pickups can because there is virtually no overhang back or front. Cant think of the last time I had to walk to a machine in the woods. Bob [ame] [/ame]
  9. Mick had his inventive head on and made me a fuel caddy out of an old barrel. Cut one in half, welded a plate in there complete with filler tube and pickup pipe, fitted a 12volt pump with 4mts of supersoft rubber hose and trigger, battery tray and welded a bit of 12mm diameter bar around the top to get rid of the sharp edge, drain plug and jobs a goodun No more cans and funnels on the smaller jobs These things are great if there is now bowser on the job but do leak back making a mess of the motor and a barrel on its side is a pain to anchor down. Kin neat or what
  10. Soda crystals, battery charger and a tub of water. [ame] [/ame]

  12. KS are good on all jap truck spares, you will struggle to make yourself understood because they are all from far off lands . If possible get the correct oem part numbers and email the order through. https://www.ks-international.com/ Bob
  13. Anything is possible, I fitted a landrover engine in the place of a lombardini in a Ferrari tractor, its similar to the Holder . It went in there well and did a much better job that the pos that came out. You just need to take your time and choose an engine that will mate up to the bellhousing/clutch without too much grief, the rest is just plumbing. Bob
  14. Load distribution on a single wheeler is a tad more critical and a twin wheeler is a bit more stable when loaded. Other than that .................. Dunno Bob
  15. Use it or bin it? I pulled this out of our scrap bin, some of our lads consider this to be scrap. Bob
  16. Barrie its going to be BLACK:001_tt2: Richard it will be cleaned off and given a coat of chassis black, if you passing pop in. Are you still running the FL6 ? Bob
  17. 10"x3" softwood sawn floor joist run through a planer/thicknesser, it moved about a bit at first but settled down after about six months. Bob
  18. Simon I think your right to bring up these issues. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut in the chipper manufacturers defence ( all of them ) they are not producing high volumes of these machines and are probably aware of most of these silly avoidable mistakes, given time they will probably dial out a lot of these engineering fubars. We are running five different makes of chipper and I could pick holes in all of them , that said by and large they all get the job done. Bob
  19. Mick finished the timber body for the bedford today, should have the tipper body ready for it by the weekend:thumbup1:
  20. Just cut a sprocket in half with an angry grinder, dont forget the spill kit Bob
  21. Mick Dundee has been sidetracked of late but managed a few more hours on the bolsters for the Bedford. Fronts and rear frames with twistlocks Getting there
