  1. Just checked and the furnace Cedar`s all gone, not bad going in three hours
  2. They are still at it, three loads of the finest conny gone in a few hours
  3. Diluted detol works a treat, nothing that bites will come anywhere near you. Keep some with you in a handyspray. Bob Edit: Dettol Liquid | Dettol
  4. Ah! you stumbled upon Mr Locatelli then Did you find a horses head in your bed the following day ? Bob
  5. mP sEnt eGg 9" Schiessling Paul. Bob
  6. If I get it I only want it to go alongside SSAspen for something to blow chip into, it would get gutted anyway. As long as the hull is salvagable it would be worth having. Bob
  7. I will let you know if I win it Bob
  8. Our old Drott is a good tool for straightening out tracks, five rippers bars go on the backframe and level with the four in one on the front. Bob
  9. Who told you he was Chinese Felix ? Bob
  10. Stevie Wonder arb school ? Here`s a gem from Horsell
  11. I remember watching a documentary on the TT, it centered around one of the Dunlops who reckoned it took five years to learn the circuit. At seventeen minutes long I suppose its like learning eight normal circuits in one go.Its probably why the seasoned pro`s show the kids the way home. Winning the IOM TT is more to do with experience and balls, just balls gets you killed Bob
  12. Is Harry still alive? I always think of him when passing by the Heath Tramp given £2m Hampstead Heath plot after squatting on land for 20 years | Daily Mail Online Bob
  13. Somewhere to post up piccy`s of bad arb work and practices ( no names) Queens road Bisley in a layby and only ten minutes from a twenty quid a load green waste dump. Shame on you With the obligatory chogs and coke cans
  14. There are many industry related spin offs that can be tapped into ( pardon the pun ). A good example of this is our old 4x4 bowser which was out for five years non stop watering plants and playing fields within a sixty mile radius of the yard. This went on all year and was sometimes doing seven days a week . There were only two guys on it and even after fuel and maintenance was making a bigger profit than we are all talking about here. That all finished last year so we are looking at getting it onto some sites with a spray bar on the back doing site dust suppression. This is just one example of other potential earning streams, there are hundreds. I know some of the lads on here have invested in cherry pickers , some get involved in all sorts of other money spinners like christmas decorations..... Bob
  15. For the winners in the x factor that would be a lousy bit of advice Bob
  16. Had to bypass all this computer monitored malarky on both the Massey`s. there are so many gizmo`s that can interfere with the hydraulics operating correctly on these tractors. Even the alternator having a mad five minutes will kill the hydraulics. I left all the standard wiring in place and hard wired the lift arms and pto solenoids to the origial switches. The rest of the tractor is still on the computor but the important bit is off it, no problems since and one of them is on 16000 hours now. Bob
  17. Taxation class is agricultural machine, dvla normally just need a few snaps of the contration and truck combined to validate the class change. Its then tax free , plate, tacho and O`license exempt. Can also be driven on a car license up to the agri limit, dvla were quite happy to do this for a forestry wagon but I suppose you would be stuffed if caught with a non agri/forestry gear on board. Bob
  18. Driving an artic is boring as a job but not as part of a job. A few hours of a day in an artic is replacing days of running about in a smaller truck, if freighted you are 30x the typical transit payload. Does the normal trailer license not cover a small trailer like that behind the truck ? Edit: Well done Al, KD had a very nice six wheeler grab truck he was selling. It was maintained regardless of cost and with genuine oem parts. Bob
  19. Comes into effect Aug 2016, its going to be a rude awakening for those that dont disclose 100% of the facts to their insurers. http://www.aon.com/unitedkingdom/products-and-services/industry-expertise/attachments/Insurance-act-2015.pdf Bob
  20. Thats excellent value for money TCD, I have been looking at these BOSS PX07 Air Compressor 12V and 24V 3/4 HP 100% Duty Cycle totally rebuildable | eBay because of the 100% run time but that one of yours ticks as many boxes for less than half the money. Until then my trusty old adapted Monroe suspension compressor will have to do
  21. Top tip for philandering Arbies . ( Mark) Store the names of any partners of the extramarital kind in your mobile phone as "low battery" and make sure the phone is on silent. In the event of the Mrs spotting an impromptu late night call she will probably just stick it on charge for you. Bob
  22. I would have thought a wage of £50k gross would be quite an easy target for a guy running a small tree surgery outfit. He would probably need to keep away from shiny things, have a decent other half bashing out the paperwork and be spending wisely on effective advertising. Bob
  23. Boring old fart here, cant be doing with all the beep boop noises and mayhem. Patience for me ( four deck Solitaire ) https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/real-solitaire-free-for-ipad/id373942073?mt=8 Bob
  24. Well made for sure, a tad heavy but soundly engineered. No pics Mick ? it means it never happened That looks a bit crispy Mr Git, at least with the tub off you get a chance to weld it up properly. I have seen them done with the body tub on ,half of the welding gets missed and then gagged up with underseal to cover it all up Bearings on the slew of the cherrypicker tried to escape from the housing, it made for an interesting stow for he lads who had to get it back to the yard. Those two tiny thrust bearings on the worm gear came to £75:001_huh: Bob
