It does look a bit on the flimsy side for the amount of weight hanging off it Gray. Peaceful here today, the horsey brigade were off to Windsor. So it was breakfast, sort the muts out, F1 and into the shed to strip out the knackered pulleys and teeth on the grinder ready for the new ones . It put up a bit of a fight but nothing a huge slide hammer, a bit of welding and the gas axe couldn`t sort out. And kept track of whats kicking off on here Bob

All of what Mick said and one other. If you hang up the rollers and look at the throat of the of the housing to the right hand side of the anvil you may well find excessive wear. Small twigs and stringy stuff get drawn in at this point and not chipped. This is the housing itself and will need welding up. Bob

I had a bricky living in one of my squats a few years ago and he worked in London . He was from up north, he traveled down on a sunday night worked the week and went back on the Friday. I dont think he had £300 left after his rent and travel but he reckoned it was better than what he could achieve at home. He said that if there was any work local there would be one hundred folk in front of him after the same job. I thought rather highly of him. Bob

Forgot to add that there will be test points for this somewhere so best check the manual. Bob

Pressure gauges are your best bet, one on each side and see what you pressure you get as the track levers are engaged. You will need to nose the machine against something to stop it tracking, a lower reading on one side is either a pressure problem or a track motor passing too much fluid ( fecked ) If they are equal look elsewhere. That would surely depend on your financial situation. If someone is mortgage free and there is a breeze of a job in town for a quick £150 I dont see a problem. If a guy is strapped to the neck in finance and needs all the finer things in life it would be a big no. Just saying Bob

You of all people surprise me EgG, dont worry what other folk say they earn because its usually a load of old tosh or confusion between turnover and profit . If you only need £150 a day and thats straight in your bin whats wrong with that? Bob

For years I used synthetic paint but its not anywhere near as good or as tough as 2k. The drying time for the synthetic is way too slow and within the half hour or so it takes to tack off the world and all its insects will land in it. From what I can gather suppliers are off loading 2k cheap at the moment and are unlikely to keep stocks in the near future, it will probably become order only (expensive ) . From what I have been told the waterbased paints also take an age to harden so for the future at least painting gear or trucks will be have to be done in a dust free enviroment ( oven ). It may pay to stock up while you can Billy. Bob
