  1. Time for a carb kit, sounds like a holed or split diaphragm.
  2. I gas weld and mig but lumiweld is a different process to welding. Don't try to use the flame to melt the rod or it will just run off into the distance. You have to heat the piece till it melts the rod when you touch it on the surface of the repair more like soldering.
  3. Ill considered comment, it could have been his first and last mistake. A piece of snagged clothing would probably be all it took.

  6. Lumiweld is not aluminium it is a brazing rod for aluminium but it will work on pot metal and zinc based alloys as well as it has a much lower melting point than aluminium.
  7. He's suggesting Lumiweld Stubby, it's an aluminium brazing rod not a glue. It works well if you can do it right. We once fixed a fairing bracket to an aluminium frame and it worked well. You need a good blowlamp to heat the metal up and get the paint out of the way before you start.
  8. What a horrible accident, no words can convey the pain his family must have gone through whoever is deemed to be responsible. My deepest condolences to them.

  10. You can start a thread but can't reply to one ? How odd. Some forums will only accept replies with a certain number of characters so you can't just send a "yes" or "no" post.

    Stihl ms150

There's a Stihl MS 192 T on ebay at the moment and it says he has others for £350 collection only. How would they compare to the 150 or 201 T ?
  24. Why should you pay road fund duty on boat fuel ? I don't understand your logic it's like saying they should pay more because they have more so someone with more money than me should pay more for their bread or something. They probably already do as they will shop in different circles, Harrods not Lidl and they will definitely pay more income tax.
  25. I've seen this a few times from different posters and still can't see why he had the branch hung up, it could have just dropped it was in an empty yard.
