  1. I asked about some but they haddock got any. Never a dull day with him around, kept me on my toes.
  2. No it's a referral to an old post by a much missed Mendip member.
  3. Can anybody recommend me a good foot spa ?
  4. Take the oil pump drive out. If it is stuck to the crank it will drive the clutch instead of the other way round
  5. You'll need to take the clutch off and clean it all out, check the oil pump drive etc. and grease the clutch bearing. I had similar with my 135 years ago.
  6. That's a problem I never had.
  7. Run it with a drill on the flywheel nut ?
  8. Treemotion, Echo 2511. Well that's what I've read. My favourite climbing gear is a ladder and my saw is 25cc Chinese.😁
  9. That's my method, I use 50:1 for some stuff but mostly it's Motomix or ***** for my saws. Weird it's not writing A S P E N 🙃
  10. How do you measure 45:1 ? My 40:1 for the scooter is as close as I can get.
  11. I'm surprised that ran in that state, is that a chunk out of the piston above the top ring ?

And it's only got one stud holding the clutch cover on, how has it survived ?

    Stihl MS 251

I have one stud and two stud saws and neither have broken in all the years I've been using them. If you don't handle them like a gorilla and just use the necessary force to tighten them there is no problem.

  15. I just leave the door open a crack on our Hunter stove till the bigger pieces catch light, I have a piece of copper pipe to blow through if it needs a bit of assistance.
  16. I like to time how long it takes for the fan to start up, it's all just a bit of frivolity but I think it does help distribute a bit of warm air. Aldi fan didn't cost much and amuses us so all good.
  17. Self loosening systems always seem to be a letdown.
  18. A pain in the bum filling drains with seeds and the stumps come back to life after you cut them down but they are nice looking trees in the right context.
  19. It quotes the noise level at 106dB which is 1dB less than a 550xp 🤨
  20. Buy some and try them, if they don't fit get the drill out and make them fit.🤷‍♀️
  21. They don't have float bowls Stubby😉
  22. Did he put chain oil in at the same time as he refilled the saw ? Sounds like a mix up to me, I did it once and had to strip the carb to ungum it.
  23. That goat willow will make them wonder what went wrong with the fire, it does smoulder a bit if you open the throttle but there's not much heat in it. 🤨We are waiting for some better weather to cut and split some down decent stuff at the farm. Local lads use it to dump chip and odd shape stuff they can't process easily.
  24. ID is internal diameter CS cross section is the thickness of the rubber so OD outside diameter is ID plus two times CS.
  25. No, it's an old 242 he's dumped you for.😁
