  1. I'll be sending some pictures to your wife's email shortly, does she like older men ? Can you get a mod to change your i.d. 😁
  2. Do they use a one size fits all nose for different gauges ?
  3. Is that a special so you can knock it into neutral? It looks like it was done on a lathe.
  4. Echo CS2511TES chattering/bouncing problem It's probably on drugs
  5. Job one is find a piece of 3x2 to bolt it to so you can clamp it in the vice👍
  6. I use my Lidl sharpener most of the time, just don't take too much off when you use it and it's good.

That's just a saw running out of fuel. Check out a few carb rebuild videos and make sure your diaphragm is the right way round and the metering arm is set plus everything is clean. It doesn't sound like there's a lot wrong if it will fire and run.
  8. Have you done a reset on it ?
  9. Dig it out and put some gravel down.
  10. Could just be the cap seal, lay it on it's side.
  11. I have an Air Arms S410 .22 and a Chinese springer plus the one I use most which is a .177 BSA Cadet which was my dad's gun, killed a few rats with it this year when they invaded ours and next door garden. Get something nice and light would be my choice.
  12. Battery saw for sale on Sam Turner site for a good price 👍

    Stihl 020

Points ignition and no anti vibe, lovely. I've got half of a rear handle one in the shed if anybody wants it.🙂

    Stihl 020

What if he threw it over the back hedge while you were out ?😜
  15. Average thickness new is .005", 20 would be generous.
  16. I just rub them round with some 240 and WD or 2 stroke oil, never used a hone on them.
  17. Zama have plants in Japan and Tennessee as well as China, as long as quality is maintained there is nothing wrong with Zama or Walbro. There are plenty of old saws still running with them.
  18. We would have called it a Heinz 57 but nowadays it would have a fancy name like a Spandle or something and cost £2000.
  19. Who to ? 😆 It looks like a parts bin special that someone else had the same idea about selling. Make it look like a chainsaw and someone will buy it. It looks like it started out as an 026 then started evolving. If you bought it as spares repairs you can't complain, you got what it is described as. Have you tried to repair it yet ?
  20. I use what they call a pointed bow saw for stuff up to about three inches thick. You can get green and dry wood blades cheap enough. They are induction hardened so don't sharpen very well and are a throwaway item.
  21. Get me a couple of those £200 365s, £400 seems to be the going rate for a decent one and they are not small saws in my view at 6.5kg and 70cc.

    Hexa chains

Generous friend, did they donate a file to sharpen it as well ? What size bar is it on ? It just about doubled the value of the saw.
  23. It will certainly be up in there if it ever starts.😉
  24. Ordinary nuts will do the job but any flange nuts spread the load better.
  25. It's a bit like a gas leak 😊 My Aspen supplier recently shut shop and I went to a local garden tool seller who sells Stihl Motomix. Joking I asked him if it would be alright to use in my Husqvarna 135 and he replied quite seriously that it should be fine.
