  1. Stick an Allen bolt in it with the correct thread, the head pattern doesn't matter.
  2. Do you not turn your bar to equalise wear ? Everybody else does. Just don't turn the chain backwards as well, all will be good.
  3. Probably didn't get the answer he wanted 🤷‍♂️
  4. I had one of these doing similar and all it needed was the metering lever lifting a bit.
  5. I have the 036 which I bought a few years ago and can vouch for it still being a usable classic.
  6. Got a Husqvarna 236 with a chain tensioner problem. Problem is the chain tensioner has gone, it's missing completely. One ordered from GHS should be an easy one.
  7. How long is a piece of string ? It's a bit hit and miss guessing settings, I just fitted a carb kit to a McCulloch and the H & L screws are both 2.5 turns out to get it to run. Set the tick over high and get it running to warm it up then try from there.
  8. MS460 has a separate cylinder and is a good saw to work on but it's no lightweight. I fitted a Stihl OEM cylinder and piston to the one I bought as it had the plug stripped and a broken ring land on the piston.
  9. I notice that the professional saws have a black handle insert round the trigger interlock.as opposed to a white or all black rear handle.
  10. It looks like it's a fireplace insert not an actual stove. Belper is only about 8 miles from where we live but I never heard of Firecast.
  11. I was there that day, can you see me waving ?
  12. Had a well used McCulloch Dakota 442 on the bench, non-runner. Dismantled and cleaned carb and fitted a carb kit, bit of a fiddle as they have a cable instead of linkage but it went back together and fired up third pull. It runs nice enough for a dog but I put fuel in it and left it on the bench, went back next morning to a stink of fuel and a half empty saw. The tank breather is in the middle of the fuel cap (stupid idea) and it's failed so a new cap is on way from eBay. Owner is on holiday for another week so it should be ready for when he gets back.

    500i Full Wrap

I refer the honoured gentleman to this thread
  14. Meanwhile, in the fourth dimension the tree still stands.
  15. Can't start my MS460 from cold without the decomp button.

    Stihl 020AV

Just had a look in the shed and there's an 020AVP minus bar and clutch cover in there, sparks but doesn't run and not worth messing with.
  17. Worm wheel sounds like a toy for a pet worm😁
  18. That plastic plug thing is your worm drive for the oil pump, looks well mangled.
  19. I sharpen as soon as they start to blunt and stop making chips, nothing worse than struggling along trying to force the cut.
  20. It seasons quicker if you split it down while it's still green as well. 🥲
  21. Looks like an Aliexpress seller so most likely a Chinese replacement coil.
  22. I've never seen it but a friend of mine claimed it happened to his old MZ bike a few times and he did have a witness to confirm it.
  23. No number sorry I bought it on eBay a few years ago, I thought they were all like that.
  24. The tool I have for my 135 Mk1 tapers so it might fit both.
  25. 🤯 £6 will get you a full English most places I eat, is Gordon Ramsay cooking for you ? Birch is popular with spoon carvers, especially while it's still green and it's good for kindling when it's seasoned. I got a load on freecycle last year, cup of tea while we loaded it as well 👍
