  1. I still have a pain in my elbow but when it was locking it really hurt and I was afraid to move it for fear of causing permanent damage. Before I could get an appointment for physio I found that holding my arm out with the palm facing up then raising it by holding the elbow with my other hand and lifting and straightening at the same time would free it off and give much relief. I had the injections many years ago but now they seem reluctant to give them out and to be honest I would not say they were really effective and were more painful than the original problem.
  2. That's complicated. What happens if you put the battery in while the chain brake is on does it play a tune ? I like petrol ones, when the engine is quiet the saw is off.
  3. Because he treats them with respect as he paid a lot for them 🤔
  4. Not sure what you are doing with the saw but you must be doing something different to the rest of us. I can only think you must be leaning on the saw like a Neanderthal to stretch the chain like that, the 6 I've used on the 135 have been fine. I bought them for rough use on arb waste and have been pleasantly surprised that rather than being disposable items they have lasted well.
  5. I think the 044 is a longer stroke than the 038.
  6. Where are you going to put your Silky ?
  7. I have half a dozen for my 135 and I sharpen them with my Lidl grinder. I have to say they are as good as any other chain I've used which is limited to the original Husky chain, an Oregon and a cheap Wartech which didn't last long at all. These chains are used on arb waste dumped in the muck down at the farm. I'd like to see evidence of the mixed and backwards cutters before I passed judgement, I would definitely have taken pictures of that. I have seen chains where every single cutter was on backwards, so were the drive links but that's another story 🙃
  8. Don't tell us, I bet she fell over.😱
  9. Didn't you notice it was her father in law who tried to cut with the chain backwards ? I spotted it wasn't her straight away 🤔
  10. I have these videos in my favourites and have watched her closely sawing and splitting, she is pure muscle and I am very impressed with her work ethic.

    346xp issues

Could have been worse, he could have said push the manifold onto the flange as well😏
  12. Ah right, mine is a Dynamac variation from Machine Mart over 20 years old and still going strong
  13. It's an Efco made in Italy, how is it a non brand ? They make saws under several different brand names and have been running for years.
  14. Is the starter cord full length, do you pull till the dogs engage then go for it and feed it back slowly or let the spring whip back in ?
  15. Seen it on a 261, it's a bit of the handle broken most likely. Video on youtube about it
  16. So when you are out in the woods what do you plug the charger into, a petrol generator ?

    Husky 445

He'll need the special splined screwdriver to adjust the mixture if it's like the 135

    Husky 445

If it's new send it back, somebody didn't do a PDI on it by the look of it. Still got my trusty 135, is 5cc worth that much more ?
  19. I've still got my 18t Black Tools splitter and it's going well. I use it horizontal and vertical and it hasn't jibbed at anything we've put through it yet. My friend passed me a piece that his splitter had given up on and it just ate it. I made another table for the other side and it's really handy for stacking on. I do tow it down to the farm where we get to split some big stuff dumped by the local tree man Truman.

    New cheapo saws

Memory not what it was Dave ? 🙃
  21. I've just had a 540T with similar problem, cleaned out and still bogging and after watching some Youtubes I let it tick over for 3 minutes then ran it in some wood for similar till the revs shot up and it is cutting again.
  22. The purge is hidden behind the pull start handle 😉
  23. I used to use a measure from some medicine to measure 100ml to 5l of fuel, I can't see why getting the ratio wrong would stop the saw from starting unless it was over oiled. It would make for less seized saws from lack of oil if it worked like that.
  24. It would do it was wedged in solid 😄
