  1. Skogsforum did a comparison video.
  2. Macpherson just type his name in he'll get to see it.
  3. Property insurance doesn't work like car insurance, you can only claim for damage to your own property so the three injured parties will all need to make their own arrangements. Let them contact their insurance companies before you start to do anything or you might end up as part of one of their claims if anything goes wrong.
  4. It looks like Fisher Price had a hand in it somewhere 😁
  5. Yes but once you've burnt the logs and oil they've gone but you would still have a splitter to make more logs if you can get free timber even better, that's my theory. As for the vodka if Art is anal surely his vodka is going to be good 👍
  6. I'm baffled, what's tree size got to do with women's periods ?
  7. You need an axe for chopping, saws are for cutting😁 Pleasant is not far out, small Husqvarna like the 120 for around £150 would get you going.
  8. It will be lower than the level of the Nikasil though.
  9. It's still below the port, you'll not lose any compression so it's worth a try. Check it again with some acid or oven cleaner just to make sure it's not higher than the plating and clean the port edges up as Spud said. Get a decent piston and rings and crack on.
  10. The obvious solution is don't put too much wood on it🤔
  11. Stiga was a Swedish firm, probably still is but apparently the saws are made in Italy so most likely nothing to do with Dolmar or Makita.
  12. My 135 must be 8 years old now and still my favourite little saw. Run on Aspen from new and never had any running faults apart from oil pump drive seized onto crank and ran the chain all the time but that was sorted with emery and a bit of lube. Enjoy the saw now it's running👍
  13. Stick it in a box and send it to me I can use the spares😉
  14. Oleo Mac/Efco made Dynamac saws as well, I bought one from Machine Mart many years ago before Stihl and Husqvarna started making home user saws. Dynamac DY41 still running but it was superseded by my 135 which is lighter.
  15. Which is what I said in my post😉
  16. That's the fuel to oil ratio, a weak mixture in usual terms is the carb adjustment air to fuel ratio running high revs with the H screw turned in.
  17. It looks bad but it's probably all just aluminium transfer and it's below the port. My 044 was worse than that and cleaned up nicely and still works well. He probably doesn't salvage pots like us because he can pass the cost on to the customer and save himself a lot of time.
  18. It does the job and we haven't found much that it won't tackle, split some really gnarly unions and is very economical on fuel.
  19. Fiskars X27 would be the equivalent and they are good axes just not wood handle.
  20. Have you taken the silencer off to look for yourself ? If it's scored badly enough to stop the ring moving it might go again with a piston and clean up the cylinder which is not going to be too expensive.
  21. 18T Black tools petrol splitter here, no need to go overboard 😁
  22. It's as much chainsaw related as the 30" hedgecutter thread and that got plenty of replies 😋
  23. I always wear my dungaree type trousers and mesh visor helmet even when it's hot but I've not splashed out on special gloves or boots, just normal toecaps and PU gloves. I am only a weekend warrior log womble though.

    Poplar

Never had any luck with Poplar even when well seasoned and if you leave it too long it starts to disintegrate on the woodpile. It doesn't flame and it smoulders without giving much heat on our fire and we don't have problems burning anything else. Tell a lie, Goat Willow doesn't go well either
  25. If you're not doing big stuff get something like a 435
