  1. I've had mine forever and really like the convenience of having spare chains to swap over and save a few till I have a sharpening session doing 4 or 5 at once. I do use files to sharpen on the saw while cutting.
  2. Is that set to 0° ?
  3. Gumtree is pretty good as long as you are not too optimistic with your pricing. Some ask as much as you can get a newer model like a recent Husqvarna 236 seller was asking £150 but you can get a new 120 for £130 at a lot of places.

    Oil leak

My MS460 does it a bit, it's just marking it's territory.

    Oil leak

I stand by my first reply, take it back if it bothers you and listen to the supplier's response (excuses) when you tell them the problem. What chain oil are you using ?

    Oil leak

If it's still under warranty and it's bugging you it is, you didn't really need to ask.
  7. Probably more than a new saw, sorry for my pessimism.

    Chainsaw winch

I was disappointed, I thought it said wench 😒
  9. It looks just like the picture on all the sales website. Where did it come from ?
  10. I don't understand the question, it looks like the sprocket carrier broke off it to me.
  11. The ring looks to be free in the groove. What do you mean by running bad, is it not revving or not ticking over or dying under load ?
  12. Some nice pictures, today I pressure washed the greenhouse and it was 32°c in there, this afternoon we had sleet, hail and thunder and it's cold again.
  13. I had to clean the carb twice on ours because after the first time and fitting a new diaphragm kit it still wouldn't tick over. Primer bulb should pull fuel through the carb.
  14. Are you pushing the choke lever all the way down ? It sounds like it's starting on half choke ms170+starting+procedure - Recherche Google WWW.GOOGLE.COM

    Are chainsaws dishwasher safe ?

    3120 Value?

What's it worth to you ? A new one's £1296 at Gayways. Out of stock, 3 to 5 days delivery in the advert.
  17. There's a 394xp for sale on gumtree for £650.

    No oil

Is the oil hole in the bar clear and aligned with the supply pipe ?
  19. There's a 266 for sale on Gumtree about 3 miles from me but he seems a bit optimistic with the price for a "rebuilt" saw with no bar or chain.
  20. More likely the seeds self set, I get hundreds every year off the tree at the bottom of the garden. They are tiny you could fit 20 on a thumbnail and they blow everywhere in a strong wind, sometimes there are so many they block the gutters. The tree is getting trimmed back and will have to come down soon as it has started to rot at the bottom.
  21. While it's off check there's no scoring, bad scratches on the piston by pulling the rope till it comes into view in the exhaust port.
  22. That sounds like the bolt covers, they prise off with a thin screwdriver and there's a Torx bolt underneath.
  23. Isn't the tank and handle an integral part ? If it's leaking between the handle and the tank is sounds like it all need replacing.
  24. Sun's shining here and it's snowing a blizzard at the same time right now.

    Chain oil

I don't bath in it and it doesn't vaporise. I use it because I don't use my saw all the time and have seen the results of leaving veg oil standing. Half a drum in a garage soon turned into a lump of jelly that wouldn't pour out. That was Stihl bio oil.
