  1. Is it like the 350 ? The screws are still there under the plastic.
  2. I got chain oil in my small top handle saw and even when I drained it it wouldn't start. I stripped the carb and everything was stuck down, the pump diaphragm and the metering was stuck. I cleaned it all out and blew it through with some carb cleaner and compressor and it fired up as normal but a bit smoky. It's a mistake you don't want to make twice.
  3. You might as well get a box of 10 packs as shipping is £4.60 ish for 1 pack.
  4. No wind here today but it's snowing again, about 2" in the last hour looks like a Christmas card out there.
  5. It's cold here, snow's disappearing though.
  6. You have to remember that's a metric foot though 🙄
  7. It cod have been worse 🙄
  8. Tinfoil hat time, I've made mine double thickness this time they're not getting into my head again.
  9. People always seem to struggle to get spares for them though I've been using mine for years now and only had to change the plug and take the clutch off for greasing and neither of those were any great hardship I prefer my 135 to my mate's MS181which is a bit temperamental starting and bogs no matter what we do with it. I have a few larger Stihl which are good saws. I don't like cutting pallets with the chainsaw though I'd rather break them up with a bar.
  10. YOU MIGHT GET A BETTER RESPONSE IN THE CLIMBING SECTION THAN IN CHAINSAWS. Sorry, didn't mean to shout.😏
  11. Does it play music as well ? I'm holding out for one with climate control 😉
  12. Our Hunter stove body is made of steel boiler plate and it hasn't warped in the years since I installed it. The door is cast iron and glass.
  13. I'm referring to this Stubby. I'm as guilty as anybody of letting go of the front handle to scratch or brush something off the visor, it's done without thinking.
  14. You need to press the trigger lock before you can rev the saw.
  15. Exhausts rot because for every gallon of fuel you burn you produce a couple of pints of water. It's the hydro bit in hydrocarbon, it means water 👍 Have you polished inside that stove it looks surprisingly clean ?
  16. Did you get that off a hair dryer ? Max Damage more like 😏
  17. Best way to keep them safe is leave the bar cover on and don't pull the string, that's where all the problems start. Being a DIY f***wit myself at 69 years old and never had an accident with a chainsaw I think myself very lucky. I do have and wear the PPE and although I never had formal training I was shown as a youth how to handle saws and have followed the instructions I was given.
  18. That there is chainsaw erotica 😚

    90cc chainsaw

Why do you need 90cc? MS461 would do the job for what you describe there.
  20. Turn both screws in gently to the stop then out to 1.25 turns and turn the tickover in till you get a start then turn the tickover back out to slow it down till the clutch disengages. You can tweak it after when it's properly warmed up. You might have to remove any restrictors fitted to the carb screws to get the adjustment right.
  21. The Makita tester is another £500.
  22. Well a few weeks ago my old Makita orange batteries died and I was stuck for a drill to use up the ladder so I went into Screwfix and got one of their Erbauer 18v brushless drills. I've used it quite a bit putting screws into brick for conduit clips and the first battery is still showing 4 bars of charge and nothing has phased it, leaning on it to get the job done quicker. Can't fault it.
  23. I reckon it should be under the screw that is into the red plastic as part of the kill switch circuit.
  24. Road trip ! It's only about 550 miles 👍

    Stihl 660

It's run well for 10 years and he's getting rid of it, why change oil ? Add the bars and chains to the price or sell them separate. £500 is a good price
