  1. But if you drive legally the cars behind will still be held up because you are limited to 50 on normal roads and 60 on motorways and dual carriageways and not allowed in the outside lane same as artics which they don't seem to know about. I've always towed trailers and caravans and have been amazed at some of the risks taken by drivers to get past when all they need to do is show a little patience as I always try to let them get by at the first opportunity.
  2. Mix them some plaster of paris, corn flour and sugar to eat and put it where they can easily get at it.
  3. Good result for you
  4. Try taking the coil off and sanding the bottom of it and the mounting surface. Not familiar with the 210t but there may be an earth wire to the cylinder block which needs to be present if the coil is mounted to plastic casing.
  5. How do you add a pint of flour ? My brother in law was happily using a saw which was producing nothing but smoke from the cut, he is a bit lax on maintenance though. He couldn't believe the difference when the saw was sharp and though it was something to do with the wood being softer.
  6. If there's an earth wire on the coil disconnect it then try pulling it over with the plug earthed against the cylinder. If it's bright daylight you might struggle to see the spark.
  7. Is it on the original bar and has it ever oiled ? Check if the oil hole lines up with the oiler.
  8. That's alright, no problems. For the price of a new ring it's as well to replace it anyway I think. A friend of mine once rebuilt a scooter and asked me to have a look at it as it was a bit "flat" as he described it. I was surprised it ran at all when he asked me what the bit was he had left over and it was the piston ring.
  9. If you can get the ring out without breaking it put it in the cylinder to check the gap so you can see if it is fit to re-use. I usually end up breaking them and using the broken bit to clean out the groove for the new ring to go in.
  10. They once delivered me a spraygun and it looked like it had been run over by the van it came in The seller sent me a new one by Parcelforce next day delivery so they may as well have done that in the first place and saved us both some trouble and themselves some money.
  11. You can't rotate the ring there's a pin in the groove to prevent it from rotating so it doesn't get into the ports. If it's a good fit in the cylinder you will not move it anywhere via the exhaust. Get it running and see if the lever presses down and stops it.
  12. Get a carb repair kit, that diaphragm is stretched to death and will not be doing anything to help your cause.
  13. We had a trailer cover made by Specialised Canvas Services in Staveley because they are handy for us and they did a sterling service, dropped the trailer off and they rang us when it was done.
  14. It's spittin'..... and windy.
  15. You knew where you were with points and a condenser though. Usually parked at the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.
  16. Ehow says Dolmar saws run between 12,500 and 13,800 depending on model but they don't say which model runs at what.
  17. Some Walbro carbs are Chinese made, we used one and have used kits from them and can't really see any difference from OEM.
  18. You can get glass tempered so it shatters into small pieces like car windscreen glass.
  19. That's on a par with my friend's dad who filled his MS181 fuel tank with chain oil from the combi can. He rinsed it out with neat fuel then filled it with mix but it smoked like a goodun for a couple of tanks
  20. Could they recycle chipboard to make new chipboard ? Lots of old furniture goes to the dump.
  21. Might it just have been damaged as a sapling and healed over ?
  22. Is it the Peeking Duck ? I've only seen one duck in a tree and it was a Mallard roosting in a Willow.
  23. I don't have a T540XP but I use a small filter funnel for topping my little saw up.
  24. It looks like a generic design electric splitter, there are lots about under different names. I have a cheap 4 ton one made in China and it does the job but it stutters a bit when you show it some Oak.
  25. Anybody on here clearing this mess up ? I read about it this morning and thought about nipping out with the 135 and Berlingo with the trailer on.
