  1. I didn't read it as putting a downer on a sale just someone putting their opinion over, I did find your post a bit offensive though. Criticism is standard on here but if you can't handle a bit of it that's down to you. If I wanted a particular model of saw and found a good one I would pay what I thought a fair price even if it seems a bit high.
  2. Careful taking those selfies, check which hand is holding the camera and where the saw is.
  3. Turn the L screw in to speed idle up, if the H is two runs out it will bog.

Does he need telling ? Sorry Mark, whoever you are
  5. I'd leave them to it and they will soon finish what they are doing and go away. (It's probably me anyway ) Oh no I have PPE so it's not me, carry on and tell him the error of his ways. I always remember on the local flea market a tool stall had sold someone a chainsaw ans he brought it back as it wouldn't tick over. The stall holder drop started it in the middle of the busy market and was revving the nuts off it with no brake. I mentioned to him that he was not safe and was spraying chain oil everywhere then left quickly with the wife in tow.
  6. That joke is nearly as old as me They have to be remembered for posterity.
  7. They'll probably end up with no sense of hummus He looks like he is struggling to pick it up never mind use it
  8. There's a dead Ash in a farm field off a lane I walk down. Someone has been trimming it probably their next door neighbour who is local tree surgeon.
  9. It's like no bug I've ever seen. They usually have a head, thorax and abdomen but this one seems to be all abdomen and head. I have one that lives on my desk which I think is a computer bug. I think the small one is the lesser of two weevils.
  10. Where can you get 365 for under £500 ? They look a good saw for general use no frills solid workhorse type of thing.
  11. Citroen Berlingo available in 7 seater guise and 1.6hdi will do 40+ mpg any day of the week will pull 1100kg braked.
  12. I put the ash from our log burner round the bottom of the two apple trees and it's done them no harm over the last 20 years. It's only a bucketful per week between two small trees and I water it in after applying it.
  13. A lot of people recommend adding two stroke oil to the diesel, never tried it but read lots about it.
  14. Is that you Phil, are you posting from prison ? Nice first post.
  15. You admit to playing golf The golf club near here wouldn't let you park a signwritten vehicle in the car park unless it was delivering The heatwave has calmed down here, it's been raining most of today but still quite warm.
  16. It's nice to see a happy looking pig, now do an unhappy looking one and call it sad ham.
  17. If the place was built 30 years ago shouldn't the architect have made provision for the conditions allowing for the fact there are trees there and therefore take responsibility for any consequences ? That's why you pay them so much.

Cut it off at the bend and make two short bars.
  19. I enjoyed that video, now I want an adze and a draw knife. I might have to find something to make them out of. I think some old leaf spring might be the way to go.
  20. Did you get a manual with it ? Pump the bulb then with the choke fully out just pull it over till it coughs, saws don't usually start on full choke. Then push the choke in to the fast idle position which actually puts the choke off but speeds tick over not half choke. If you are pulling it over more than a couple of times on full choke it is probably flooding a bit.
  21. Years ago a bloke I worked with was trapped when his fork lift overturned. He was released quickly and actually walked away from it then had a heart attack and died, virtually unharmed by the accident and only in his forties. That is a good warning for the future, they thought it was the shock of what happened that caused the cardiac arrest.
  22. My friend has got his Land Rover on the road now. It was a 2.5 turbo pre Defender model but it now has Discovery 300tdi engine. The chassis has been welded and painted and the pickup body swapped.

It's a set of rings for the piston.
  24. Our Worcester Pearmain develops blossom after the fruit has set and grown but they never seem to do anything but it keeps the bees happy.
  25. Yes, just trying to think of a way to understand what is happening because the only other way is if the clutch is detached from the crank and if the threads are holding that is not going to happen. It does sound weird and a video would illustrate better. Only thing I've had like it is when the chain has pinched in a cut and saw still revs with no movement.
