  1. Here's what you need. Snag I see is the wheel wells will be in the way. If you lay a tarp in the bottom and up the front and tie the top front corners to something then drive off you should get a result but there will still be some cleaning up to do.
  2. It's alright he only uses it for stone and slab work they have a Stihl MS390 for wood cutting.
  3. I read on a few Stihl sales sites "not for sale to Australia" over the past few months but it seems to have disappeared now. Have people stopped asking or are they selling to them now ?
  4. I thought you were after someone to come and build it for you. (Polish builders) Sorry.
  5. You extravagant devil Jon. We stopped at a Costa on the motorway once and walked out again when we saw the price. Over £2 for a brew, you can get a breakfast for that where we live
  6. Here's one for all you Land Rover fans, it was outside the local parts shop across from our house. It's a series 1 but it sounds like it has a new diesel engine in it.
  7. Drill them with a spade bit and pour some stump killer or sodium chlorate down the hole and put a plastic bag over it with an elastic band. Whereabouts are you ? I heard of someone round here getting a grant to clean up a wood on his farm which was overrun with Holly.
  8. A car policy can cover a van not being used for commercial purposes, I was covered by the Co-op when I had my Nissan Vanette for my own use camping and pushbike carrying.
  9. A friend of mine has the old stone cutter that you could buy a chainsaw conversion for. It still runs great but it ain't half thirsty
  10. There is a rubber pipe missing from the pump up to the oiler slot in the cover so it feeds to the hole in the bar unless you have just shown a picture of it before you put it back in. Mine had got dislodged and was letting oil run out down the back of the cover instead of feeding it to the bar.
  11. I wasn't sure what one is so I had to look
  12. 396 years two months and 5 days I'd say It looks nice and majestic I like to see the old graveyard trees.
  13. That sounds ominous Cheers.
  14. I'd like something to take to pieces and be usable when I put it back together. I was only kidding but if it's a reasonable idea I would go for it.
  15. We've got a white one at the bottom of the garden and it's only just coming into bud ( North East Midlands here) and once the blossom has gone that is it for the year as the berries are set. There are a few ornamental pink ones up the road from here and they only flower once usually.
  16. Glad it's sorted, now has anyone got a 365 x torq for £100 that they don't want any more ?
  17. They just buy a saw in China and copy it as cheaply as possible from what I've seen. It's a bit more involved buying and taking an Airbus to bits I would imagine
  18. Whose fingers were they ?
  19. The bike shop always bought dear ones and they never lasted longer than a couple of years in constant use and when one packed up they needed a replacement quick so bought a supermarket cheap nondescript make. It lasted just the same as the expensive Karchers they used to buy and cost a fifth of the price so now they keep a couple of cheap ones in stock and get them when they are on special offer. If you are using it a couple of times a year does it make sense to have £300 stood about doing nothing as opposed to £50. If you drain them down and don't let them freeze with water in they should last.
  20. It does grow from sticking rods in the ground, there's a garden near us that did it a few years ago and now has a thriving hedge.
  21. If you bag the box at night and move it to somewhere more convenient the bees will continue to use it. We had a colony of tree bees in our bird box last year and I moved them to the bottom of the garden with no drama. They abandon it after about 6 weeks and move on.
  22. You just need to be a better shot ( I have a .177, not shot owt for years though)
  23. I dug ours out a few years ago, just dug down round it then rocked it to break what roots were left and dragged it out on a sheet of canvas. I put it on freecycle and someone came and took it away a couple of days later.
  24. or leave it for 10 minutes and cut it down for firewood. I agree Goat Willow.
  25. I think she must be used to stuff like that happening " 911 or what ? "
