  1. We've got a white one at the bottom of the garden and it's only just coming into bud ( North East Midlands here) and once the blossom has gone that is it for the year as the berries are set. There are a few ornamental pink ones up the road from here and they only flower once usually.
  2. Glad it's sorted, now has anyone got a 365 x torq for £100 that they don't want any more ?
  3. They just buy a saw in China and copy it as cheaply as possible from what I've seen. It's a bit more involved buying and taking an Airbus to bits I would imagine
  4. Whose fingers were they ?
  5. The bike shop always bought dear ones and they never lasted longer than a couple of years in constant use and when one packed up they needed a replacement quick so bought a supermarket cheap nondescript make. It lasted just the same as the expensive Karchers they used to buy and cost a fifth of the price so now they keep a couple of cheap ones in stock and get them when they are on special offer. If you are using it a couple of times a year does it make sense to have £300 stood about doing nothing as opposed to £50. If you drain them down and don't let them freeze with water in they should last.
  6. It does grow from sticking rods in the ground, there's a garden near us that did it a few years ago and now has a thriving hedge.
  7. If you bag the box at night and move it to somewhere more convenient the bees will continue to use it. We had a colony of tree bees in our bird box last year and I moved them to the bottom of the garden with no drama. They abandon it after about 6 weeks and move on.
  8. You just need to be a better shot ( I have a .177, not shot owt for years though)
  9. I dug ours out a few years ago, just dug down round it then rocked it to break what roots were left and dragged it out on a sheet of canvas. I put it on freecycle and someone came and took it away a couple of days later.
  10. or leave it for 10 minutes and cut it down for firewood. I agree Goat Willow.
  11. I think she must be used to stuff like that happening " 911 or what ? "
  12. Try Mister Solutions on ebay, seller name is blindstickinsect. I've had some bits from him, you could try sending him a message via ebay he has the rings and might be able to help with the piston if nobody else comes up with one.
  13. Ask the seller on ebay they usually know what their parts will do. You could ask about postage as well but at something under £20 it's got to be worth a shot. Here's the one randy sells and what he doesn't know probably isn't worth knowing
  14. There are some rings of willow behind my mate's shed that have been there all winter and they are coming into leaf quite vigorously.
  15. I'm sure I could have made that much mess freehand and a lot quicker.
  16. We used to leave them till the leaves started to turn brown or till the gaffer was looking the other way.
  17. Here's the one it's in US but Randy sells it so it must be good
  18. Too smooth for Douglas in my humble opinion, do they look like Christmas trees ? The foliage does look Pine.
  19. I'm on EE sim only and when my Samsung packed up I bought cheap Chinese Android Jellybean phone on ebay and it has been fine for signal and works just like any other. For £45 if it lasts a year I won't complain.
  20. Have a look at outer or inner rotor ignition kits they might be adaptable and cheap enough to try.
  21. Carbon parts will cost at least 6 times their equivalent in plastic if they are the ultra thin vacuum formed and cured in an autoclave type of material used in F1. They might be a bonus if you are climbing with a monster saw but otherwise are just a gimmick.
  22. This is an odd one but I caught it a bit too late to show properly and it's a phone picture so not too great. It's a cherry tree outside the local bike shop and it flowers white on one side and pink on the other but the white side has gone into leaf. while the pink flowers longer.
  23. I saw some in a clapped out old Transit pickup with greedy boards emptying a skip into the back and they has something like Midland Tree Services and a mobile number written on the side so if you are Midland Tree Services and have a legitimate business you might get some complaints I think.

    Elm Dismantle

Watched it and enjoyed it. I wonder how you decide where to start on something like that.
  25. I read that Stihl were compelled to rethink their policy as what they were doing contravened EU trading regulations.
