  1. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Oh gravity thou art a cruel master
  2. But it's only still till you pick it up then it's mobile
  3. Did he scrap it ? My brother in law would have brought it round and asked me if I could do anything with it
  4. These are listed for my 135 with 14" bar as well as the H36. I put a 3/8" Ozaki chain on and can't tell the difference. The description for both chains is the same in the manual.
  5. Will it give the same kind of results when under load as on the bench ? I know my drill will spin happily with zero charge left in it but If I stick the bit in wood or metal it stops straight away.
  6. I've been looking through Gumtree again and spotted this. It doesn't look genuine to me is this what the door to door travelling chainsaw salesmen are selling ?
  7. That looks keen, there are a lot of nerves in finger ends. Keep them in your pocket for a day or two.
  8. Nice looking bitch, my friend has a black one and she is smashing but she can't keep out of water.
  9. That would be two left legs then
  10. I use the same method to lock when the cylinder is removed, it's standard practise for scooters. The Nikasil plating is .002" to .006" thick and is very tough and what look like grooves may be the aluminium deposit. Get some brick acid from Wickes and soak it for 5 minutes then rub it with some production paper as recommended earlier. It might take a couple of goes to get it all off but it's worth a bit of perseverance. 2
  11. Can't have pointy ears, elf 'n' safety an' all that
  12. That would be a log wouldn't it ? It made me think of
  13. Viscous coupling can cause problems on them when they are getting on a bit. There are whole industries built up around repairing them Some say they have a service life of around 70,000 miles.
  14. All the best with the recovery. I worked on local council school gardens and we used electric hedge cutters and pull along generators. I swiped up the side of a Beech hedge and was smothered in greenfly so I let go with one hand to clear them and the cutter swung round and nipped my thigh before it stopped. I had trousers and bib and brace on and it didn't cut me but I had a massive V bruise which throbbed for ages.
  15. It looks nice and clean and easy to read. Proof reader missed one on the testimonial page " to discuss any plans you have then plase phone" and one in services "Tree Preservation Order Applicatiosn" Get them on the case
  16. Jackdaws will take bread and drop it in water to soften it before they eat it.
  17. It says martial arts not marital arts
  18. I use some cord because it's what I have. For the scooter I use a spark plug with the ceramic broken off and a M6 bolt through it but I only use it to find TDC. I cut a socket down and made a clutch spanner for the 135 which worked better than beating it with a drift.
  19. If it goes in through the plug hole why won't it come back out there ?
  20. Just leave the stubble till it's time to plough
  21. Mine are sort of pale purple, do they do a patch for them as well or only the orange variety ?
  22. Cheap saws have a bolt with a plastic sleeve which I suppose you could use on anything without too much problem as long as there's a hole to bolt through.
  23. It looks like he's having a closing down sale
  24. Cut a wide strip of aluminium from a coke can and wrap it round the piston with the ring lined up on the locating pin. As the piston enters the cylinder slide the aluminium strip down and off the piston. Have you had the piston off the conrod ? Make sure the arrow on the piston is pointing at the exhaust port.
