  1. So it was just the actual insurance company names you were after then. You would have been quicker picking up the phone:lol:
  2. I had a Raptor on demo from Charles at Arbrep. Everything is easy to get to, no need to undo hundreds of bolts etc. I fed wet Conifer, large cord, and Holly into it. Just as good as a mx200 but lighter and turntable tastic. Worth sticking on your list in my opinion.
  3. Make sure it isn't over revving. If it reaches 1400 rpm it will do the same thing.
  4. Anybody else use Teufelberger Platinum? If so who else has got flat spots on their line that the Prusik binds on when descending.
  5. Er not using a cambium saver has the same effect. Just speeds up the process of taking the smoothness off so long as he wasn't turning an 11mm rope into an 8mm.
  6. Not bad. Less than an hour for 1 man to demolish a couple of trees all waste left on site £80.
  7. Swat I was thinking.
  8. Anyone heard of stay safe magazine? Just doing some research as I have been contacted by them. Wondering if anyone else has?
  9. I send a page of T's and C's along with a copy of insurance with my quotes. In 3 years of working for myself 2 people have asked questions relating to them the rest just look at the price and hardly any check the spec'.
  10. You sir are well spot on.
  11. I'm assuming you don't live in England then.
  12. Good job my Canter still has a rear window, although obscured by the chipper box. Letter of the law and all that.
  13. My friend you are most definitely not allowed in the 3rd lane with a trailer no matter what. Oldeth mcBilleth could not give a slapped wrist for that. Bad luck old bean.
  14. Is it 1500 chins or 1500 chin on the bar any technique? Asking as I will be starting tomorrow morning and see how many days it takes to forget I started. That kit looks good I just have a length of 4x2 across the garage roof that cuts in to the hands a bit.
  15. When you say change grip do you mean under hand to over hand?
  16. Not sure what you mean by that? Does that mean all work outside the domestic market is professional? If you are in it for yourself you charge top dollar, if you can't provide the service to match drop your price until you can charge top dollar. Lifestyle junkies don't do the rest of us any favours, like the retired brigade who take up gardening for nothing an hour. Charge what the rest charge and have a decent holiday instead of making everyone else drop their prices.
  17. How many more times? This is disgraceful conduct in front of potential customers! How many more times must we press for proper training on these machines before someone really gets hurt. The guy has no PPE, moving with the saw and chain brake not applied, using saw at head height, blatant flaunting of PUWER, gross misconduct due to drink and drugs, no risk assessment, and I'll bet he has no insurance. How many more times people??! training and insurance, let's get this sorted.
  18. Hi, welcome to my manor I am just down the road. Closest place Collier Environmental, near Lyne. £24 a ton inc VAT up to 2t.
  19. I used that tracked machine to munch some Conifer. It takes good sized chunks but would be better with stronger springs from a Schliesing machine which Arbrep suggested. Everything looks good, nice, simple, really easy to maintain and sprays chip for miles. I was waiting for the 750kg machine which is 4 cylinder turntable but it ain't out 'till Sept'.
  20. Would never work as the country is run by sandal wearing lefties that all the ministers listen to.
  21. Hold up gents. Blessing himself before he breaks his false leg? This is Youtube. Good point about training but this is good ol' U S of A! Sorry no it's blighty where men build all sorts of contraptions in their sheds and do DIY at the weekend. Have you seen A and E on a bank holiday?
  22. Looks superficial what was it 10 butterfly stitches? Maybe it was suggested somewhere else would be of more help rather than buggering up everyone else's day that had waited 2 months for an appointment to treat a scratch.
  23. Alpines only for me. The canter's dash isn't that deep!
  24. I'm throwing 5 a side into Martial Arts although I'm not sure where the Martial part comes into play. I get more injuries from it than full contact Thai!!!!!
  25. It's us an' them Godber.
