  1. i have one of those single ring gas cookers you get in a plastic case. Does the job just fine for me, but have always fancied a coleman, especially as it runs on 2 stroke.
  2. I have a cheap garmin, its ok but not brilliant. I took it to the lake district the other year, and it kept loosing signal. It was about about 3 mile behind me, which resulted in missed junctions. Didnt think a satnav could be behind !!!!!!
  3. My old maths teacher had a new suky sj when they first came out with a little 1 ltr engine, he puuse to pull a small cattle trailer with two pigs in every so often, he took the pigs in on way to school then picked up the meat on the way home.
  4. in the seventies, i can remember the bloke from local chippy delivering my mam a weekly bag of spuds. The pop delivery with dandilion and burdock, getting 10p back for returning the bottles, my dad having a series landy, then getting a vauxhall viva in gold, and then getting a brand new lada with a vinyl roof. A butchers shop on the corner with its own abatoir, and watching the local livestock owners taking their pet pigs or whatever and hearing the gunshot. I also remember being scared of the local police who new everyone. What about jack charltons soccer school on sat morning tv. The dukes of hazard with daisy duke. I can also remember my next door neighbour, an old guy who kept chickens on his allotment, every sunday he would go and get one and kill it for his sunday dinner. He would pluck and dress it outside on his doorstep.
  5. what dealerships are local to you. Is this an important factor for you. I personally like makita / dolmar. But it is up to you.
  6. Another vote here for makita / dolmar, spares from any makita dealer.
  7. i have the 16 gauge pin gun variant. I did find it very good, but then the rubber bands that return the firing pin snapped, i replaced them easy enough, but the gun hasn't fired properly since. Have had it into dealers, they say there is nothing wrong with it. Just sat in garage now going to waste.
  8. makita v dewalt v milwaukee v metabo.
  9. the coil nailer in machine mart takes between 44 - 70mm nails. They also do a strip nail version.
  10. Depends on what type you want, strip or coil. Personally i would go bostich like mr varty, but machine mart do a nice little coil nailer for about £150, which is a good little thing.
  11. Only ever been once, totally loved it, wish i knew when it was on.
  12. i would go for the berlingo every time. I had a citreon c15 for 8 trouble free years and now onto a berlingo multispace, ( new style ) cannot fault them at all.
  13. Hi chaps, they will be new boards. He is a decorator, so he wants the bare boards so he can decide and have a play with what finish he wants. Good point about just sanding them.
  14. I have been asked to make a new table for a friend. They have asked if it would be possible to use scaffold boards as the top, ( after they have been planed), i've said yes its doable but i dont know what it will look like when finished. So, has anyone else made a table from scaffold boards. Pros and cons please
  15. looks stronger than original frame.
  16. I would personally go for a small / compact tractor with a trailer. I would get your gravel delivered, then when you go down your lane just fill trailer up with gravel and deposit it where you wish. Get a pto saw saw bench and away you go. For me the tractor trailer is the best option and will also open up many other avenues to go down.
  17. There looks to be a nice clarke one in machine mart.
  18. I'm sat here now having the single can of lager, i will either have a single can or a nice glass of whiskey last thing at night, its just my thing and thats it. But if i havent any in the house, i dont make a special trip to the shops for it, i will make do with pop.
  19. Thats bloody brilliant, hope you and bella have a great future.
  20. Never let age be a barrier. Just go for it.
