  1. Just had this bought for me  But as it has got a solid nose bar, i want to change to a sprocket nose asap. Ideally i want a sugihara from rob d, but i was just wondering if i could get a large husqy ( or similar ) bar for it using the large 12mm mounts for the time being.
  2. Hi jon, i've got a makita 9010 beast on order, the same one as advertised. As i already have a small makita, and i'm quite happy with it, why change.
  3. Too late, santa is on his way Wouldn't buy a stihl anyway. sorry.
  4. Same here, i have a little ea4300 and love it to bits. Im also thinking of getting a 9010 monster, just because they are so cheap in comparison.
  5. Beat me to it ! i was going to say, why doesnt anybody give the dol / mak a try.
  6. Wow ! i want one. Why carnt they build owt like that over here, But make it cheap and affordable. I love the old style american pickup look. to me that s how they should look, a proper work truck, not like the bling bling of modern stuff.
  7. Haha, it would but he doesn't do either.
  8. Really fancying one of these at this price. Xmas might come early.
  9. Thanks steve. Must admit its not really my sort of thing alec, but i really do like how its turned out. Giving it to my father on xmas day. If i have the chance, i would have another go at it, but i'm not going looking for it, if you know what i mean.
  10. I have now finished the box. It is not all my own work, i must admit i did have a lot of help from a good friend of mine. Also i must say a big thankyou to steve ( slackbladder) on here for providing me with the veneers that were just right.
  11. Treeman, you really sound like a top guy to know / work for !!!!!!!!!
  12. Well i did my cs30 with my dads husqy 135. A brilliant little saw, but a sod to start. I did my cs31 with my makita ea4300, i love this saw and planning on getting another makita. But as daft as this sounds my dads 10yr old used and abused macculloch starts easier than any of them.
  13. I dont do any carving, but if i did, that would be the saw for me. It looks really neat and tidy imo.
  14. Thats a nice lump of oak you got there deezy.
  15. Ive got the makita ea4300, and love it. ideal for small firewood production.
  16. As doobin says, a cheap berlingo and trailer and you carnt go far wrong.
  17. haha, i bought my daughter one a few years ago. Might just have to get another now.
  18. For me, the ideal start out combo is a small van and trailer, or if not a van then a little jimny.
  19. I have bought my dad one of those saws for his xmas pressie from my mam.
  20. Very nice, thats good going for the intricate stuff.
  21. Citroen berlingo for me. Good ride, load volume, good mpg, reliable.
  22. i have an older model stihl, which i love. But if i was to buy another it would be a nilfisk.
