  7. shavey, do you do any milling with yours. I'm saving up to get a 7901 and running it with a 24" bar. But might get a small mill for it aswell. whats your opinion ?

  10. I have an old chain with missing teeth, i normally use it on rubbish wood or where i know there is a good chance of hitting something.
  11. Can i just say that this thread is a really good idea As some one who is interested in milling but not yet done any ( i do have a small 18" mill to clean up some old joists etc) I am already finding this thread really informative. Well done chaps.
  12. Hi eggs, i carnt praise the citroen berlingo high enough. I loved my old c15, but the new style berlingo is shear bliss to drive.

  15. I have seen these in torne valley and i am quite impressed with the build quality. Have you thought about doing any other design. Is it me or is the top one on the stack of 3 missing its roof ??
  16. i agree with felix and the others, husqy 135 is ideal for what you want. I also run a makita and love it to bits.
  17. Its always nice to see a well made timber gate. Whilst were on the subject, if you dont mind me asking, have you ever made any internal doors using doweling instead of m/t joints ? How do you think they would be.? thanks.

  20. Ive often found that when used to full capicity the 235mm saws are really slow. When ive needed to cut big timbers, i normally use a smaller saw and cut from both sides. I know this is going against what other people are saying, but i have never had any problems doing it. Each to there own i guess.
  21. I believe the 20% is the rate for cis which is self employment in the construction industry. If your not cis then i dont think they can deduct it. I didnt think that tree work was covered by cis anyway.

  23. I used to be many moons ago, had 2 ferrets and a polecat, used to love going out early on a sunday morning for a few hours. Not done any for a while now.
