  1. I'd like a makita / dolmar 7900 before the end of the year.
  2. Ive had a copy of the book 'stories of round timber haulage' delivered today. Well pleased.
  3. Sorry, its just that i thought it was standard to have a 12mth warranty on commercial gear.
  4. Sorry for the derail, but i dont like the idea of only a 90 day warrenty for a pro user.
  5. My dad has a husqy 135, it really is a nice machine to use.
  6. My 52 plate c15 had 128000 on clock when i scrapped her in december, engine and gearbox were sound, just a pity the body just about fell off. Just bought a new style berlingo on a 10 plate with 48000 on clock.
  7. why not just get some signs made up for the car n trailer.
  8. I agree with the van option, but if funds are tight ( arnt they always ), why not get an estate car, something like an astra estate, would be better on the insurance front. If you were that inclined you could look for an old forester or something.
  9. Why not have a look at the makita / dolmar range. Plenty on here use them.
  10. Just liked your fb page, please have a look at mine. I dont work full time for myself, so i have a 'hobby business' at the moment. I too help the local church when asked, it shows people you are trustworthy when they see you doing a good job / deed.
  11. One i made for my parents a few years ago.
  12. I have found windsor chains to be an inferior product. I had a new chain smash within 5mins running.
  13. have you got the instruction manual, it should tell you in there.
  14. We had a lovely walk around villages in the peak district. Got ripped off in a cafe tho', so that put a damper on things, but it was good to get out the house.
  15. My parents got me a new compressor to replace the 30yr old knackerd one i've been persevering with, my inlaws got me some old spice:sneaky2: the kids got me some books and the wife has me a camera on order:thumbup:
  16. I wish you had a bigger dolmar to try out.
  17. Hi, i really like the look of the bench next to the fire, it really suits it. Out of interest, at the beginning of the thread you mentioned you had a big makita, would that be the 7900, if so how do you find it with milling. I,m still undecided about what to get, thats all, plus my small makita is a really reliable machine.
  18. No, no,no, i think i will stay on the ground thanks.
  19. Theres nowt wrong with a 135, i love using ours.
  20. This was my present to myself. But i think i might get myself a new dog in the new year. I quite fancy a border collie.
  21. A box. A fire. A beer or two for me. Sorry, never got on with my wifes family. Her dad never even attended our wedding ten years ago. He still doesnt say much to me and her mam doesnt say anything, and her auntie, well i wont go there.
  22. I think for site work, your better off with a circular saw for ripping / crosscutting. I have seen the mafell version before as well. The only thing i would consider is the makita chain morticer, which i think would be ideal in framing.
  23. A kitchen table made out of pine and then painted finish on legs and stained and clear varnish finish on top.
  24. My wife has just renewed with them for the 2nd time, and i have just transferred to them. Cheapest my a mile for us. Also done thru meerkats.
  25. I've just swapped my c15, and bought this. Well pleased with it, but still fancy a wee jimny to use as a van.
