  1. Just be careful putting on an oversized bucket, then lifting to full boom. Make sure you do your maths right with the extra weight of the bucket and extra volume your lifting. Had an accident at work a few years ago, with an oversized bucket on, it was fine close in but then tipped suddenly when booming out, warning system didnt even pick up on it.
  2. I found one in a box of screws last week in the garage. I'm still finding the screws now. Hate the bloody things.
  3. As mick said. I have a berlingo multispace as a multi purpose vehicle and i love it, i often pull a 3/4 ton trailer load no problems. Find citroen very reliable.
  4. Agree, i have a gerber version for best and a cheapo for work, where it gets abused daily.
  5. As someone who is in the middle of a nasty blood sucking divorce, i cant wait for the future.
  6. Nice pictures. May i ask where abouts the pond picture was taken. It reminds me of a village i take the caravan to.
  7. my dad has a green bosch one attached to a metal saw horse. Hes had it for the past two or three years now and he loves it. He cuts logs in the 5 - 10" range and it deals with that size quite easily. Just keep the chain sharp and let the saw do its job. Like i said his is attached to a metal saw horse so the only lifting he does is for the timber.
  8. I'm sure someone working in the industry could put something together for a roundwood timber home. http://www.britishlogcabins.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Price-Guide-29.09.15.pdf
  9. here you go Premium Sawchain
  10. i did a bit of a project on this for college last year, also started a thread on it but didnt get very far with it. If it was me, i would build it in round timber, as a proper log house. There are plenty of details out there on the web. You can also do proper courses in roundwood timber building.
  11. I'll bear you in mind peatff, dont know what we are going to do at minute with it, i've one or two ideas, but if they dont happen, then i'll be in touch. cheers.
  12. My dad has a husqy 135, and it was a good little saw when it was running. However it has just had a light sieze and now requires new internals, which isnt really worth it considering the price of a new one. He also has a mac 420, which is used and abused but still going although showing signs of wear now. But put them side by side and we would both prefer to use the mac for some strange reason. Me personnally, i run a dolmar ps350 and a makita 9100. For what you are wanting to do, i would personnally opt for something like a dolmar 5105 or 6100. People also rave about the echo range, but cannot comment as i have never used one.
  13. my dad has one, great little saw, but can be a bugger to start sometimes. I much prefer my little dolly 350 though.
  14. I have the metabo hc260, doesnt get much use, but its a tidy little machine.
  15. what about rayburn, Rayburn 200SFW Cooker | Wood Burning & Solid Fuel Range Cookers
  16. I'd also use a forstner bit steve. There are two decent sets in screwfix for sale. One at £40:00 just for forstner bits or one at £35:00 where you get forstner bits and auger bits. I've got the mixed set, but another member on here got the pure forstner bit set. Are you planning on making something same as the picture or something different.
  17. I'll back you up J, love my berlingo multispace, got it after owning my old citroen c15 for a trouble free 9 years. Have Relays at work and i love em. If i ever wanted another van, i wouldnt even bother looking at any other make, citroens are so reliable.
  18. And i bet its dead awful to drive
  19. I have the man 9010, yes it's a tad heavy, but it is a beast. Not fast but Torquay. Don't use mine much but when I do I'm glad I have it.
  20. Haha, just lately I've been watching YouTube vids of people doing something similar, but with a dremel. For you to get such fine detail with a saw is just brilliant.
  21. I have a Bosch 115mm, that must be 20 yr old and still going strong. That said I also have a Makita 225 mm that's about 10 yr old and still just as good.
  22. I've got the clarke one from machine mart. I find it ok, does the job.
  23. Well ive got both a husky 135 and a mac 420?, and to be honest, although the 135 is a good little saw, both me and my dad prefer the mac, although its on its last legs now, but when it does die, i will replace it with another mac.
  24. Have you had a look at rayburn and their eco connect system. Whilst doing a college assignment, i came across this system and incorporated it into my house design. It allows you to have any type of stove, ( gas , wood, oil ) or even a multi stove. When this is up and running, you can then add the eco connect system which allows you to add solar panels, air/ ground source heat pumps or other stoves all into one system, which in turn allows you to run your heating / water via the cheapest method at that time. It sounds complicated but its not. All the info is on rayburns web site.
  25. If it was for an electric one, my sthil one has been brilliant for the 8 years ive had it. But if i was looking for a petrol one, i personally would be looking at the clarke range in machine mart.
