  1. Need to think about security though. Wouldnt a van be a better option due to the security risks.
  2. Dont have one myself but can see the appeal of them in certain situations. Growing up in the eighties i can always remember the farmers and milkmen running about in either ford P100's / pug 504's / vw caddy's. I've always had a little soft spot for the bedford rascal type pickup. Does anyone actually make a proper car derived pickup any more ?
  3. Nothing to be sorry about steve, its not your fault at all. Its the morons that create these problems just for the sake of it.
  4. Bloody hell !, just had it again. Thought it had stopped, not had it for a week or two.
  5. You just have to love little grey fergys. Must be 60 - 70 yrs old and still going strong.
  6. I wouldnt be without it now. In pure soil its a doddle, and in stoney ground its still so much easier. It just chews through the ground. All i do is start it off then every 6 inch or so just lift it out the hole, just so it doesnt get bogged down, and also to clear all the debris out bit by bit, if you know what i mean.
  7. I had a cart load of fence post holes to dig for myself, so went on internet and bought a cheap chinese post hole borer complete with augers for about £150, and believe it or not its been a brilliant little thing. Ok it may not last a life time, but its done what i needed it for and paid for its self many times over by doing work over and above what i got it for. So for me, if it breaks down tomorrow it wouldnt matter as its earnt money it wasnt bought for.
  8. Pictures please when possible. Always admired the big working horses. Know sod all about them though.
  9. Can you post pictures please of the operation.
  10. Sort the NHS out. As i work within the nhs, i can see even in my limited role, ways to improve the service. It isnt rocket science, and its not all about throwing money at it, its more of banging heads together.
  11. Theres not many commercials large or small with a petrol engine. I keep thinking about a small van (nemo) for bodging about in, all diesels.
  12. Yes steve, just every now and then. Kept having it every other day up to about a week ago, then nothing, then just started again today.
  13. Just had it again steve, about 10 mins ago.
  14. i like citroen. Had a C15 for 9 years and never let me down despite being abused. Now got a 10 plate berlingo multispace to ferry the kids around. had it 4 years now and again not one once of trouble. Its a brilliant multipurpose vehicle. So for me it would be citroen all the way.
  15. Its unbelievable what you are doing, and all it needed was some foresight and the guts to go for it. You deserve a glass or two of that famous grouse next to your sink, lol.
  16. i got my bench grinder from machine mart and quite like it for truing up after a few hand sharpens.
  17. I have a dremel that i can take with me and use, but quite a lot on here have the 12v granberg sharpener i think. I also have a bench sharpener as well.
  18. That is bloody brilliant, love it. So go on then, how did you carve it, small chisels and mallet ?
  19. Yes. We were married 13 years so she is entitled to my pension up to the point that we were divorced. The thing is, at the moment mine is worth more than hers, but if you take in the fact that she is nine years younger, if you calculate and add on them nine years then hers is bigger than mine ( if you get my drift), but that is not taken into account.
  20. Can i just add a twist to this pension debate. How about this I've just got divorced, and trying to sort out the financial settlement. My ex wife is legally entitled to my pension, the one i pay into, although she has her own, which she pays into. So how does that work ???????????? I will now have to somehow start again. I'm 47 she is 38. It stinks.
  21. Citroen berlingo multispace. Thats what i have, and you would find it ideal for what you want. I find them to be a reliable workhorse.
  22. I could of wrote this. This is the exact same thing (plus an affair) that pushed me into my stress. Still suffer now, when i have to see the ex for the children, i physically start shaking, its a bastard how some one you once loved, now scares the hell out of you.
  23. done nothing but rain here for last 3 days. Everything is sodden. Its just cold wet and miserable. I think a couple hours snooze on settee is in order.
