  1. I could of wrote this. This is the exact same thing (plus an affair) that pushed me into my stress. Still suffer now, when i have to see the ex for the children, i physically start shaking, its a bastard how some one you once loved, now scares the hell out of you.
  2. done nothing but rain here for last 3 days. Everything is sodden. Its just cold wet and miserable. I think a couple hours snooze on settee is in order.
  3. Hi Eggs, hope you pull yourself round soon matey. Me myself i suffer from stress quite easily. I'm currently going through a messy divorce and i'm up and down like a yoyo. I literately feel like banging my head against a brick wall. The solicitors are useless and just dont seem to understand how everything effects you and they just dont seem to care how long things drag on. I have good days and bad. But i'm lucky that i have a good job and a few good people that i can talk to that knows what i'm going through. So hang in there pal, you will get over it.
  4. Jesus andrew, what you cutting with that beast.
  5. I can vouch for both shavey and dolmar. I have a little ps350 and put a carver bar on that now and again. The 350 is similar to the 32 as far as im aware. Shavey sorted everything out for me. Top bloke and top notch gear, you carnt go wrong.
  6. how come you only have cs30. Have you not thought about putting yourself through the tickets. In my view it is down to yourself to get yourself trained up, not the companies. I always think of it as investing in myself. As without the tickets, experience etc you wouldnt get work in the first place. So just think what would benefit you (in terms of getting extra work) and then set about achieving that. Also, why not go it alone.
  7. We have some electric vans at work. They are surprisingly good.
  8. cheers ian. I sort of lost my way with my first attempt, then the idea of the helter skelter came to me for the second, and found that much better.
  9. This is my first attempt at carving. On impulse i decided to try and do a tree. My first attempt is not that good, lol, The second attempt, i also sanded it and gave it a coat of clear varnish, lol. (and its still not that good) lol:001_smile:
  10. Yes i do. I've just swapped over to wilkinson sword extreme 3 disposables. Have been shaving my bonce for the last 20 odd years. Do it every time i get a shave, normally twice a week. Still get odd nick, but still do full face, neck and bonce in under five minutes.
  11. cheers chaps, i have thought about using glue before. So yes i think i will just stick to free hand.
  12. If its the same engine that i had in my 02 plate citroen c15, then it will be bomb proof. 9 years i had that van without a single engine failure.
  13. The very first van i bought, loved the van. wish i could afford a recon one.
  14. How the heck did you get from A to B, for the rework, totally different. Nicely done.
  15. I've just swapped over to disposable razors. Got fed up of getting ripped off for fusion cartridges. Now buy disposables for the equivalent of 10 bob a piece, work just as well and last just as long.
  16. Cheers lazurus, thats one of the ones i've been looking at. Ian how do you find the palm router, i keep looking at the makita one with different attatchments, but having never used one i'm a bit unsure. How easy are they to control compared to a normal 1/4 inch router. cheers
  17. You must have a steady hand Ian. Do you just use a normal 1/4 inch router for your stuff.
  18. Hi agg21, i dont trust myself making my own jigs. I normally just draw round some templates and then router them out freehand. I think i will just have to knuckle down and get practising. I have seen the trend jigs / stencils and some similar, i just wondered what they are like. Wainy and Roy, nice stuff there.
  19. Mmm, lazer cutters / cnc machines are out of the equation. I have done quite a few large letters by freehand with my router but normally in mdf. So i guess its just going to be, just a load of practising on scrap wood first, before i give it a proper go.
  20. Hi all I'm wanting to make some tea light holders, similar to the one in the picture. Whats the best router templates for doing the lettering, and also which cutter, (i was thinking v shape ). or instead of routering, is there a better method. I am wanting the lettering in different sizes, maybe 30mm upwards. Also whats the best finish to put on anything like this. cheers.
