  1. As this product's derived from garlic I wonder if trees with a carpet of Ramsons around them are immune or should we be rubbing cloves on the bark:001_smile:
  2. Most of them are just chancers with no intention of letting you quote properly. They just want an idea of how much money they're saving doing it themselves. My reply to everyone of them is: How long's this piece of string in my pocket?
  3. Second one looks like a Baetis spp. A river/pond fly related to the Mayfly.

The Krab & Anchor, Blake's, Brash Draggers Rest.....
  5. Have you looked at carb? Check diapraghms, blow out all airways and if the exhaust has a spark arrestor fitted chuck it.
  6. The things a fag packet could be used for eh. 25 thou points, foil around a blown fuse, write a quote on it

    How pointless

I love pointlessness... Pointless Sites - Useless Sites. - PointlessSites.com
  8. Are we the last generation who can actually fix things? Just been taking apart my lads bike to fix loss of brake light, indicators and horn. Fixed it but he hasn't a clue. At his age I had to take my bike and car apart to fix them along with other mechanical things that broke. Maybe it's my fault but there seem to many his age that seem incapable of working things out:confused1:
  9. It's looking good. There are a few issues with spelling, grammar and capitailisation. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it....not meant to be critical.
  10. A few classic bat roosts in that one. Good pics.
  11. House looks to be in Queen Anne style so if landscaping is contemporaneous then 280-290 yrs.
  12. After several rescues I reckon this is the best way [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFVU9Dl6riI]YouTube - Stihl Chainsaw[/ame]
  13. Looks like he's trying to steer the thing:001_smile:
  14. So that's where I went wrong! My first splicing attempts (on Marlow) ended in bleeding fingers and sheer frustration. The rope's still on the floor where I left it:001_smile: What is the easiest/best rope to learn on?
  15. If I could understand it then it's no more than the coniving, slimey toads deserve. Rant over....need a beer
  16. I was conned into trying one once via YP. They can moniter the calls. I had a total of 13 in the year and a couple of them were from me making sure it worked! My advice......don't bother.
  17. Sallopettes = bib and brace, graft = work hard, chaps = leggings or thoroughly decent blokes

I was always told to hold the sides cos the bloke who's following you down might step on your hands:001_smile: Wouldn't matter on that ladder because NO WAY would you get me on it. Respect to the man.
  19. It is useful. Good nesting hedge and food plant for insects. Notably privet hawk moth.
  20. Took one down last week. Looking decidedly unhappy; tiny bleeding areas, areas of dead bark....anthracnose?
  21. First impressions count and like it or not faced with a guy sporting tattoos or a ' clean' guy many people will opt for the 'clean' one. Most people ascertain quickly their perceived opinions of people inc. me and can be wildly wrong:blushing: As long as you're happy with it and don't come over as some sort of thug you should be fine.
