  1. Greater Manchester TreeStation currently has vacancies in our Arboriculture department for Climber, Lead Climber and Team Leader positions. We are looking for self motivated, competent and qualified team members with high standards in tree work and health & safety. The right candidates will be environmentally conscious and have a passion for Arboriculture with a can do attitude. Proven experience in a similar leadership role is essential for the Team Leader position. These positions offer an exciting challenge and a chance for highly motivated team players to advance their careers within a stable working environment with a successful and growing Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor.   6. Looking for a reliable groundsman that wants to progress into climbing - ideally someone with CS30, 31, and 38 already or someone who's just completed their climbing as well. We're a new firm operating around South Manchester. I've been working for another firm for the last 3 years and have decided to go it alone. Looking for someone to embark on this journey with.   11. I’m looking to fill odds days/weeks preferably with Van and Chipper, willing to travel up to an hour away from Eccles. I’ve taken my foot off the ball due to my Dad being seriously ill for several weeks (sadly he passed away before Christmas) I have all the relevant tickets, also use of a climber who’s pretty decent, quick and comfortable with big take downs.   13. We're Good With Wood! Drop your Woodchip and Logs for free. Take 5 minutes to register with us, and then use our tip yard whenever you want. We take anything from a tree! That’s right, we are happy to take branches, trunks, roots, brash, chip and logs. If you bring chip and logs, great, no charge for you and less work for us. For wood other than chip or logs, we charge, and use our machinery to convert it to biomass.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced mechanic/fitter to join our team, on a full-time basis, working at our Yard in Gorton to maintain our ever-growing fleet of vehicles and machines. Ideally, we’d like someone with solid and broad experience (not necessarily qualifications, but this would be advantageous) of working with commercial vehicles, as well as forestry machinery and plant with a strong work ethic and who is willing to be flexible as to their work schedule.   24. Hi, I have posted on Arbtalk about our tip site a few times. We are an arable farm that is EA permitted to take green waste and chip/logs. We are now calling ourselves Cheshire Green Waste and a website will follow later in the year. There is no charge for tipping good quality chip and logs (but must be separated).   25. Hi all, unfortunately my last company (Bartletts) has made me redundant. I worked for them as a climber since November last year and I have been climbing since June 2015. I have the following tickets: CS30, 31, 38 & 39. I also hold a full driving licence and Lantra Chipper Award. I have my own PPE and will have own climbing kit/saws in a month or so - still saving the pennies. Cheers!
