  1. Hi all, I've recently completed my CS30 Cross Cut and Maintenance and I'm looking to get into tree work as a groundie/labourer up in Newcastle upon Tyne/North East. I do want to get climbing and up into trees but I'm just trying to get my foot in the door in the industry. Would anyone be able to help out a newbie looking to get a start in the industry? Ideally looking for full time work but a few days here and there would be great so I can get some more experience under my belt. I'm keen to learn and get as much experience as I can and learn from some pros, I've experience snedding and felling trees but not a great deal but I want to learn as much as possible and make a good go in the industry. I want to get stuck in really and make my way in the industry a bit before I get other tickets. More than happy to do all the brash clearance and all the standard groundie/labourer stuff, develop my skills and go onto get all my tickets. Learning to drive so don't have my own transport currently but I'm more than happy to commute wherever needed. Got my own PPE and hunting for a decent ground saw. Contact details: [email protected] 07468204944
  2. Hi, I'm a groundie looking to get shifts in with a few different companies around the Borders, Edinburgh and the Lothians. I'm still fairly new with a couple of months under my belt, but I know the basics and I'm a hard worker. My current goal is to build up some contacts and get more varied experience. I have my own PPE a saw and the following tickets: Small trees, medium trees, chipper, first aid at work and climbing with a saw.
  3. Root and Branch Arboriculture Ltd. have vacancies for both a Climbing Arborist and a Grounds Person, both on a part time basis (generally 3 days a week). If you would like to join a small, professional arb. team working for both domestic and commercial clients across Edinburgh and the Lothians, this may be just the place for you! You should hold industry specific qualifications, relevant work experience and have a sound work ethic. A driving licence is essential as our yard is well off the bus route. HGV licence and Lorry Mounted Crane Operator certificate would also be an advantage but not essential. For initial enquiries and job specification please email [email protected] http://www.rootandbrancharboriculture.co.uk/

Experience and tickets would be fantastic but also happy to use someone who is looking to gain some experience in the industry. Must have use of a car to get to our yard in South Warrington and appropriate PPE. Our yard is located within 5-10 mins of the M56 and central to merseyside, greater Manchester and many northwest areas. We are a small, professional and friendly team based in Cheshire. We primarily work for domestic clients, local authorities and various business premises. 8. Evening all, I am very sad to be losing this guy who is off to Holland with his girlfriend. He has only been with us for 6-7 weeks but more than long enough for me to say: highly recommended. He is bright, strong, hard-working, switched-on but also sensible and polite to customers. Only had to show him how to tie a bowline ONCE! Disadvantages: does not have full driving licence, only auto. Doesn't speak very good dutch but I suspect will pick it up rapidly. No formal tree courses so far but can already sharpen a c/saw and use a grinder and chipper. Any dutch colleagues in Leeuwarden or Dwingleoo areas please drop me a line and I will pass on your details to Toby. He will be in Holland from 1/12/19.
