  1. Hello fellow tree people! I have recently qualified in the following City&Guilds / Lantra courses: CS30/31. Chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting. Felling trees upto 380mm. CS38/39. Aerial rescue and aerial cutting with chainsaws. Woodchippers. I'm looking for work as a trainee, or with a company that will give me the opportunity to develop my climbing skills. Ideally in the North West area as I'm based in North Manchester. I have experience of ground operations from working with a local domestic crew, and would love to expand my horizons into commercial, utility and especially conservation work. I have a car, my own PPE and climbing kit. I'm reliable, hard working and keen to learn. If anyone knows of any opportunities that might be available it'd be great to hear from you! Thanks - Anouk. 07896759871.
  2. Afternoon all, just wanted to through some feelers out before I do a proper search and ring around. I'm due to start a level 3 arb course at bicton college in september, but need to do 45 days work experience. With a company local to North Devon I live in ilfracombe but have my own transport. What I really want to do is work everyday I'm not at college (if I can earn some money doing it, the 45 days is unpaid) I've been offshore for the last 7 years so a change of industry for me want to be closer to home. I'm good with knots a grafter and can work hard! Im 25 so you know your getting someone mature. Been working with saws for a few years looking after grandparents land just firewood ground maintenance hedges etc. always maintained my own saws and sharpened my own blades anyone that can point me in some directions would be massively appreciated.
  3. Hello Everyone, We are looking for capable tree workers to join or team due to months of work backed-up, it will be a better job than you have now with better pay, please only apply if this sounds like something you would like to experience. We are a friendly Arb Approved company in Wimbledon covering various client bases, but with a distinct lack of posh houses, we work in parks and London estates more commonly. We would really prefer a driver with no points, with a fair amount of experience, but not averse to a trainee with tickets. The pay will be more than you earn currently, but this can be discussed after a trial day if you're interested in joining us. I look forward to hearing from you, please email me. Many thanks, Tom tom@microbee.co.uk
  4. Hi, following a change in career, I am newly qualified with CS30/31 certificates and looking to begin work as a groundsman. I currently live in Winchester but willing to relocate for the right position. Preferable areas of work would be Hampshire and Wiltshire. Admittedly I have little experience except for some work experience with a local firm, however I am no stranger to hard work and long days. Very keen to learn and progress I am willing to do what it takes to become a successful Arborist. Please contact me for further information or if you would like to be sent a copy of my CV. Thanks Mark

  9. Hi, I am on the hunt for any entry level job in Belfast, I am happy to do brush dragging/labouring to get my foot in the door but my end goal is to become a skilled climber so I am trying to get the experience I need. I am happy enough to start of doing 1 or 2 days a week on a voluntary basis. I have my CS30 and I am aiming to do more tickets but I am reluctant to fork out the money at the minute with no way of putting what I learn to good use. I have done a couple of trial days with a company but didn't hear anything back, I work hard and wasn't told anything negative on the job so I assume it was my lack of experience that has failed me here. I have also emailed all companies local to me but have not heard anything back and trainee jobs/apprenticeships seem to be non existent in Northern Ireland Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Thomas.

  17. Hi, my name is Henry I am 28 and looking for work in Brighton, or anywhere in the east sussex area. I am hoping to move to Brighton towards the end of May but would like to secure a job before doing so. I currently have CS30, 31 and 38. I qualified with a subsidiary diploma in forestry and arboriculture in December 2013 and have since had work as a groundsman/trainee climber but mostly been working on a farm and fitting in tree work around it. So I would ideally be looking for a trainee climber position. I climb when I can for work or leisure so I'm fairly competent and confident. However I would be more than happy to start on the ground or work in forestry. I have saws and climbing kit. Any potential vacancies or links would be greatly appreciated! Please message for any further details. Thanks Henry

  23. Hello, I have to replace someone who has been mostly on the ground but with some climbing now and then. We are Microbee Tree Management, a growing company currently running 3 teams from the Wimbledon area - Microbee offer professional and affordable tree management surgery and services in London and across the UK I am looking for a self-motivated individual who is keen to continue their learning curve in the tree work industry, this position is not for someone with years of experience. It would suit someone who has recently acquired CS 30,31,38 & 39, but 30 and 38 are the essentials. Pay is negotiable and will be on a self-assessment basis, don't freak out, it's easier than you think. There's a good chance of being taken on permanently if things go well. Please email your CV or a detailed personal summary to trees@microbee.co.uk I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks, Tom
  24. Looking for a enthusiastic, hard working individual. We are an expanding garden service partnership that is currently in its 4th year. We are preferably looking for someone who has cs30, cs31 and cs38, cs39 are a bonus and who can start full time straight away. Would need to be able to travel to where we are based in Fetcham near Leatherhead. If interested please call on 01372 818959. If we don't answer please leave a message and we will get back to you later that day. Or email sales@s-dgardenservices.co.uk
  25. Hi, I'm looking to get some hands on experience with a tree surgeon/arborist near Glasgow, but will travel further afield. I'm 27, fit and reliable with full clean license and car. I will be hopefully getting my basic chainsaw certs (CS30+31) early next month and plan on getting more as I gain experience. Looking for any opportunity to learn. I have used chainsaws in past while volunteering in Sweden and Norway for basic estate maintenance work, processing firewood, harvesting Christmas trees, etc. And even worked with a chainsaw carver. I'd be prepared to work for free until it's been established that I'm worth having around. I work hard and don't mess around so know that in time I'll be an asset to any business. So if you fancy a free pair of hands for a few days work or if you are needing an apprentice/groundsman let me know. I''ll consider any offers. If necessary I'd be prepared to relocate if there was a good opportunity. Cheers, Richard 07933136253
