  1. Running the chipper today it suddenly died down, chucked out thick black smoke and stopped. We changed all the filters, bled the system and still won't start. All it does is chuck out black smoke and soot. It seems to me that the fuel's getting through but not under pressure. Any ideas please. Thanks. btw it's the 4 cyl engine.
  2. Now this is all strictly hypothetical of course. Tree to be felled. Not straightforward....road, pedestrians, limited access and other targets. Assume there are four quotes. One way over, one a decent price for the work involved and two at half the price of what one would expect. Buying work? Next job .... four quotes. Three within 1k of each other and one at a quarter of the price. I give up:confused1:
  3. Possibly valves need adjusting. That's what happens on dirtbikes so I'm just applying it to basic 4T engine.

  5. You couldn't even make it up! Wasn't there a case of a motor manufacturer getting sued after someone drank the water out of a battery whilst stranded in the desert? Batteries now are stickered 'do not drink water'.
  6. Click share on youtube, copy link. Right click mouse on arbtalk and paste.

  10. I think it's ingrained into our culture now and those who file spurious claims would do it without the help of TV programmes.

  16. Looks like a development of that brilliant innovation called Topsharp:001_smile: No doubt they'll sell loads of chain through over eager use of the device.
  17. Got a brush like that. Head has two holes. One for the shaft and the other takes a candle for night work.
