  1. Does the aorta have a socket ?
  2. I have heard that said of nose sprockets (and still don't understand why) but never for clutch bearings. It is part of the service regime and not doing it doesn't make any sense. You don't omit grease anywhere else because it "attracts" dirt or in this case wood fibres. It's there to fulfil a purpose and an unlubricated bearing is a disaster waiting to happen. Only reason not to lubricate is because it's a pain getting the clutch off. If your saw is making fine dust it needs sharpening All the chips under my chain cover are well soaked in chain oil and stick till I clean them out with brake cleaner, how does the fine dust get in there ?
  3. I've subscribed to the sugihara channel on youtube
  4. Rather that than seeing the woman that can handle a spoon that big
  5. Our forecast is for up to 30mph wind tomorrow Jon, hang on to your hat.
  6. Better off using a cue I always found pool to be 90% luck I used to go and watch the pool and sometimes got a game if someone didn't turn up but when it started getting serious it was like watching paint dry.
  7. They are among the last into leaf and first to drop, people think they have a problem but it's just the way they are. They sometimes lose healthy leaves in summer as well and then grow more.
  8. When we had guinea pigs our local sawmill used to charge 50p a bag. Some of the bags I took in were what we used at work for covering pallets and if they were full I could hardly lift them but they were still 50p.
  9. So manufacturers putting grease holes in their bars don't know what they are on about and you obviously know better ? I've used grease in mine and they have no problems so it must be the luck of the draw How does the abrasive material get in the bar and get held in more because there is grease in there ? If they didn't put the little grease hole in would it not get in there ? It's still going to get in and mix with the oil.
  10. Disconnect the wire to the stop switch and try pulling it over with the plug earthed to the cylinder. Check the clearance between the coil and the flywheel as well, business card thickness. Bit of a
  11. Get it watered and it should be fine
  12. Something like 243 medium strength oil tolerant if you want to get it apart again in the future.
  13. Calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean Put a Tippex mark on the handle or a hacksaw cut level with the flat. My screwdriver didn't come with pointer and it came with my saw.
  14. Just to share the love another ebay seller I have bought off is garden hire spares who does a similar range of kit.
  15. I've used their ebay service as well and no complaints as you can see what it costs so if you don't like it you don't use it.
  16. Top Dead Centre ? Timber Cutter Dartmoor is your man.
  17. Our Hunter Hawk is only a little stove but the baffle plate is a generous 5mm thick and hasn't warped in 12 years of use. The fire bricks are still the originals as well but I am thinking of getting some to make my own as the later fires use taller ones which insulate the sides of the firebox more.
  18. You have to broaden your horizons, I'd have been in like Flynn or on it like a car bonnet I'm retired now though so keep up the good work
  19. Yes there's not much metal to go at in the head, it's worked for me a couple of times when they have been crossed on starting but a proper strip could have taken too much out.
  20. Try a plug tap first and see if the thread is still good enough to hold the plug, worth a try for £8.
  21. Don't mention sewing them or someone will be coming up with invalidating their usage and insurance voided etc. I don't know who models these things but I take a 32" inside leg and my Husqvarna bib and brace are a good 3" too long so I just let them drag. Did anyone else look at the title and think "they certainly do " ?
  22. Stick a 40w incandescent bulb in them, we used to use them in rod sheaths to keep arc rods dry.
  23. Cheapest I've seen is £153.64 inc. vat, you've certainly proved the saying that there's one born every minute I enjoy taking stuff to pieces and getting it working but there is a limit.
  24. You can buy a new MS170 for under £170, what is "stupid money" that will buy a new saw and leave change Check it over to see if the oil line, pump or filter is blocked. Bar and chain are standard running costs for a saw anyway so shouldn't be a factor. You could do what you are looking at with a bow saw or axe.
  25. I like to do some now and then.
