  1. Beware of the Blob. It's ectoplasm I reckon.
  2. I always put the paper under the sticks and the sticks under the logs, am I doing it the wrong way round ?
  3. My 135 is fine, nice cheap alternative for a bit of domestic firewood cutting. It cuts quick enough with the 14" bar on it.
  4. Copper pistons and conrods, it's the future.
  5. Bother, I was waiting with baited breath You should have used Simon and Garfunkel "slip sliding away"
  6. of one shows a bit more detail, it looks like a plate over the top with a couple of louvre slots in it. It still looks noisy.
  7. A pair of braces wouldn't go amiss
  8. That's got to be worth £1000 (in fines )
  9. A few years ago a baby in a pushchair was killed by a trailer that broke away from a towing vehicle. It was in Heage, Derbyshire not far from here and was in the local news, faulty trailer brakes but no cable connected would have the same effect. I have an unbraked small trailer and fitted an arrester cable when this happened. I always check the brake cable is connected on my big trailer as well and my wife reminds me regularly. Not being preachy but it could end in tears for a moment's neglect.
  10. It looks more like someone read about the exhaust mod and overdid it I'd weld something up to box it in a bit and see what happened.
  11. I was on my bike in Sheffield and asked directions. Take first left then right, cheers mate. Straight into a pedestrian precinct and onto the tram tracks. Don't panic !
  12. Sorry I don't want your Birch or anything but the title made me laugh, it reads like a headline from the Sun paper.
  13. Put some ground anchors or something heavy like the leg of a bench that you can chain the saws to by the handle and get some locks on them or if you have lots of saws chain them all together and anchor them to something in the back of the van or to a tree. Drill a couple of holes and put some U bolts in the bodywork or get a welder and knock something up. If you leave them lying round on the floor out of your sight they will inevitably go walkabout.
  14. Des is still doing tour dates and writing, I wonder why he's not on telly any more ? Mel likes them a bit younger these days.
  15. Probably helped to finish him off as well Jon
  16. He didn't say "I live on a narrow boat on the canal, if you're passing one day just drop in" did he ? Good result getting the Silky back
  17. I saw one a few weeks ago that summed private plates up perfectly for me WH05 SAD.
  18. It'll be the fumes from the thread
  19. On my little saw the oil pump drive was stuck on the crank causing the chain to run and it was enough to stall the saw when you put the brake on. I took the clutch off, pulled the drive and rubbed the inside with emery then washed it out and greased it and it is fine now.
  20. Were you and Frank Carson separated at birth ? Have you ever felt compelled to say "it's the way I tell 'em" ?
  21. Computer has given me an error code I haven't seen before, code 11 I've looked it up on Microsoft and it says "file too ugly"

    Help help

You could pull the spring covers off the bolts and check they are tight but it doesn't lok like anything to bother about, oil gets everywhere.
  23. This man may be armed and dangerous and you are advised not to approach him
  24. Here's your more personalised one John.
  25. They all wear the quilted shirts like the ones on the market so you don't have to buy a shirt and a coat as well
