  1. A friend of mine with a Black and Decker electric saw did that. I found it most amusing
  2. You can tell them by the fuel and oil caps. They have black plastic screw caps not like Stihl flippy caps.
  3. It's detectorists Stubby, the things they wave about are metal detectors (I watched the series on BBC4)
  4. Peeping Tom
  5. Try an Allen key down the middle if you are stuck for something to undo them with.
  6. Like cows and sheep ?
  7. Stirrers, like a cross between a spoon and a spatula, they do a really good job in the big iron Dutch oven on spaghetti bol days.
  8. I burnt the favourite spoon/spatula a while back (accidentally) and I was cutting some firewood Birch last week and thought I ought to replace it so I made these. They are drying out nicely and we have some Ikea finishing stuff for breadboards and treen which they will get a coat of before they are put into use. They are left as is with the knife finish, that's how we like them.
  9. Husqvarna website when I was buying my saw. I thought Husqvarna might have got it right sorry.
  10. I don't know about the bars but I bought a couple of cheap standard length Ozaki chains for my 135 and they work fine.
  11. You can still use them, that's what gives them the extra flavour
  12. It looks more like he's trying to stand it back up
  13. 435 has 3 piece crank and visible fuel level as well, it's a bit more substantial than the 135 but the price is the clincher. I have the 135 running on Aspen now but it ran just as well on pump gas I just used to drain it, run it out and use the remnants in my scooter.
  14. I'm not on faceache and all I got was the unavailable message The page you requested cannot be displayed at the moment. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page.
  15. The legs are down it the picture it just looks like the crane is not very well designed and he extended too far. If all that row didn't get her out of bed he's better off without the idle ***
  16. So £520 about same.
  17. We have the same with our Mk2 Berlingo as it is a van derived car not the other way round same as the Tourneo. My wife drives a Peugeot van same as our car and that is subject to limits.
  18. Mad4mowers in Sheffield sell 365XT with 18" bar for about £520 + post if you buy on their website. That's cheapest I've seen.
  19. Just throw a brick through the window across the road and get flashing blue lights for most of the evening.
  20. I have a cheap fibreglass handled maul, bought it for £10 and used it for a couple of seasons then the cutting edge snapped a chunk off so I cut the end straight and sharpened it with the angle grinder and it is now at least 5 times better than it was. It doesn't stick like it used to and it cuts loads better than it did.
  21. I can never tell whether boiled eggs look done or not, you'll have to give me your recipe. I have one for toast given to me by an old work colleague. When it's brown it's cooked, when it's black it's (forgot the exact term, sure it rhymed with cooked though) I thought we had a special kitchen timer to tell you when the food is ready but my wife has since informed me it is the smoke alarm.
  22. I do a bulk lot of spag bol and we eat one lot and freeze the rest in batches for later. I make home made pasta as well to go with it.
  23. That's how it's been for years, why add complications and expense to a simple procedure ?
  24. And what I've read, not being privy to the inner circle of environmentalists like you obviously are that is all I can do. I didn't realise I was arguing sorry, I haven't booked an argument so I'll just bow to your obviously superior knowledge.
  25. I was looking at the tree which is going to be dead standing and very soon in a dangerous condition dut to there being only about 3" of wood left holding it up. Having never heard of Ted Green or read any of his ideas I can only go by the evidence of the pictures I've seen. Where were they introduced and what restraints are in place to keep them in a suitable area ? I can see where they are suited to life in areas with big forests and rivers but felling the odd alder into a brook is not going to get them any good PR as far as I can see. How does cutting down trees which take up water alleviate flood plains and help with landscape engineering in the UK,it might work in Canada.
