  1. Does auto tune only adjust the mixture ? If it doesn't do anything to the timing could you replace the auto carb with a manual one when it goes wrong ?
  2. I watched one dragging a rabbit across a field and into a hedge once, the rabbit was at least three times it's size. I thought once it went into the ditch it was done but it dragged it up the other side and away. There were plenty of stops for a breather but it didn't give up.
  3. Putting down roots and branching out, sounds like they are contradicting themselves. They are also forming awkward growths making it harder to split them for firewood, so they are standing about doing knotting.

    Trousers

I have Husqvarna bib and brace trousers and wear them when cutting wood. My wife told me to get them after she saw a youtube. You can get class A trousers for £50 but you can get stitches and transfusions for free, you just have to choose.
  5. It will go anywhere but it won't always get back out
  6. The same gel from inside the Pampers nappies is used as a barrier by firefighters in Florida, you must be using the wrong kind. The plastic coating burns though.
  7. Don't know, but I'm Spartacus or Charlie
  8. That looks just like the 12v electric water pump in our trailer tent.
  9. Nappies with wee in will not burn because of the ammonia, that's how they discovered the coating for roofs in fire risk areas because the only thing to survive bush fires was used disposable nappies.
  10. This is like Room 101 on the telly.
  11. I'm not that bothered
  12. What is it ?
  13. Our wheelie bin was trundling round like a Dalek till it wedged itself in a corner. I fetched anything in if it looked like taking off and tied the cover back on my cement mixer. It's calmed down a lot now but still gusting occasionally.
  14. I'm still waiting for the punchline I was selling hotdogs and a Buddhist asked me to make him one with everything
  15. Thanks, I'll give them a try
  16. Where is the best place to look for Walbro parts ? As far as I can find, the carb is a D10 WZ but Mower Magic doesn't list parts for it. They sent me a diagram of what they thought was nearest but it has a primer bulb and mine hasn't. It looks like this one so at £6 I might just try it.
  17. I was talking to someone who has driven one and he says the vibrations are diabolical.
  18. My friend has a light with a PIR sensor and a plug in attachment in the house so when anything activates the light it bongs indoors. Cats set it off sometimes but it's a good idea.
  19. Bolt a piece of angle to the floor inside the shed then fill down the back of it with expanding foam or rivet a drip strip to the outside of the wall to channel the water further out than the base. Fasten something sealed to the bottom of the outside to run the water off the plinth anything to stop the water getting to the join at the bottom of the wall as capillary action will drag it in.
  20. The thread is getting a bit far down the listing I took the carb off my old Dynamac DY41 today and gave it a clean out. I bought a replacement saw as it had become a bit of a pain cutting out and not starting back up but it seems to have done the trick, might treat it to a carb kit if I can find what model Walbro carb is on it. I took the clutch off and greased the bearing as well. I might sharpen the chain and turn the bar tomorrow. It says in the book it has an adjustable oil pump and there is a hole in the bottom of the saw for a screwdriver but the pump has no adjustment and it is the original since I bought it new a very long time ago. It does oil a bit generously but it's better than not working, Would some thicker oil instead of the Husky mineral help to slow it down ?
  21. I was so amused by this idea I had to google it and came up with this. Dress up your ute and dress up your dog, sounds like a fun day out Seems like your rellies were not having you on after all.
  22. If the limiter is in the coil and the software controls the carburettor it can't disable it. If you speed it up too much you'll need steel trousers.

    Small Echo's

They will have tuned it rich at the top end, does it clear up when cutting/under load ? If it does they have got it right but if it doesn't it may need weakening off a bit more but it's better running a bit rich as it will overheat and seize more easily running lean.
  24. Do you get a service book with the saw ? I didn't with my Husqvarna 135 and it's not going to a dealer to be serviced. I do maintenance like turning and cleaning the bar out checking filters and greasing the bearing, general plug checking and anything else it needs. I wouldn't expect any problem if it went back, what proof of a service history could they ask for?
  25. I've not cut ours for a while, it's too soggy and there are worm casts which leave soil patches but it always picks up again.
