  1. Are you disappointed with the way it is cutting now, is the bar and chain you have ready for changing, does the splitter need a faster saw, is it just his opinion, how much is it going to cost, why do palax not fit it if it is better ? This is what I would be asking myself.
  2. You can take a modified vehicle for IVA and get it registered as a change of body type. The test is not as strict for commercial vehicles as for domestic passenger vehicles.
  3. Same here in the Middle Lands, windy and raining and more to come for the rest of the week according to the forecast. We'll just get used to it and it will change again.
  4. I'm confused, are you not sure whether you are Truro tree services or Truro tree surgery ? If your name is registered you could check with a solicitor if there is anything you could do about the similarity but it could be a costly and pointless exercise.
  5. I've just come across that "395" on an ebay search. Her broken crank Stihl looks real though.
  6. He can see it from the bottom of the tree So making saws lighter and more fragile has made some into safer workers whereas others would rather sick to old ways and use old tackle
  7. I'm not a climber only cut my own firewood but I like to watch the videos and dismantles and it does surprise me the way some treat their saws in the tree just dropping them on a strop and dragging them round like an afterthought. I know if I'd paid the amount a 540xp or 210T costs I would be treating it a lot more carefully.
  8. A blood orange and a balloon or a goldfish offered here.
  9. It would have been more amazing if it had been done with a chainsaw
  10. Mine was but now I've bought the special screwdriver and turned the screws a bit it is no trouble.
  11. Crack the welder up, you can buy plans to build a Ground Hawg Back Hoe.
  12. Get the welding done while the body is off as well, buy it off him Matt then sell him back the finished project.
  13. The hot water flows through the heater matrix all the time and the hot air to the cabin is controlled by flaps so it must be the control wires getting stuck occasionally. Heater valves went out with Mk1 Minis.
  14. He just breathed on it, he had a lot to drink to be fair though
  15. I'm naturally round shouldered....
  16. It looks a good idea mechanically as the base where your foot rests is better supported with your weight not trying to straighten the metal and twice as many spikes looks a good idea.
  17. Could you just get a cheap ground helmet from ebay and then invest in a climbing helmet when you need to upgrade. This one has a chinstrap and £12.95 isn't going to break the bank. Ducks have a bill not a beak as in There's a man at the door with a bill...... Are you sure it's not a big duck with a hat on
  18. It's in France, just set fire to it.
  19. It looks like a special piston with a keyway. Let's find spud's informant by process of elimination. It's not me right who else isn't it.
  20. Primrose will flower all through winter if it's not too severe. There are winter varieties.
  21. It looks fine to me, which bit are you on about ?
  22. There's a street here in town which has a lot of trees and they are directly into the ground with tarmac right up to the trunk and it doesn't seem to do them any harm. A couple have been taken down due to some form of damage and they are pollarded every 3 or 4 years to keep them in check.
  23. I'd be tempted to start again with a new tree or something different. Too much of that one has reverted and the sycamore part is much more vigorous.

    Which Sthil

Said the man in the orthopaedic shoes.....
  25. There's a Tesco superstore within walking distance of our house but we still go 5 miles to Lidl in Alfreton to get our main tinned food and beer shop. A lot of the time it's just manic trying to find stuff and get round in Tesco and if I happen to call there in the car on the way back or to somewhere it's rubbish having to negotiate trolleys left all over the car park.
