    Battery

A battery reading 12.4 is flat, it should read over 12.6 or it will struggle to turn a decent engine over especially a diesel.
  3. Elektra Bekum is Metabo now, still a good make for power tools. Electra Beckham would be a good name for David and Posh if they had a girl
  4. Can I just buy the labels ? I don't use that much oil but I like looking at scantily clad pretty women, they'd look nice stuck round the workshop walls and ceiling. It doesn't upset me thinking they were exploited I bet they make a lot more money posing than I would
  5. I've put a bit on over Christmas and New Year, 5' 11" and 12 stone 3 pound. I think age needs to be taken into consideration as well, I'm 63 and up to my 40s I was never heavier than 9.5 stone and have only put it on gradually as my metabolism slows down. I get about o.k. but could probably do with getting rid of a few pounds and being more active.
  6. A piece of pointed angle iron fell off a scrap lorry, went through the rear tyre wall of my car and stopped the wheel going round by wedging against the swing arm.
  7. Is this you Mark ?
  8. Where did you find that "fact" ? Greys are omnivorous and being bigger and more populous they obviously eat more so can you show me a reference to your evidence please ? I have looked myself and can find nothing to support this.
  9. Could you just stick lumps of 3x2 to the gable end with some pink grip from screwfix ?
  10. I'm sat in the living room watching the biggest blackest clouds I've seen for years and they are racing across the sky really fast but it's not raining and only a bit blustery here and it's really dark for the time as well.

    Sick transit

I like the new Transit shape although it doesn't look as businesslike as the older versions. Did anyone else read the title of the thread and think the same as me, sick transit gloria mundi ?
  12. I blame it all on soap operas. People think they have to have conflicts all the time.
  13. That's an odd size they are special for the chemical industry to carry 4 45 gallon drums which is what you want them for obviously. Most pallet refurbishing outlets deal in 1200x1000 or 1200x800 euro pallets. The factory I used to work at got specials made and delivered from iPTS but they are a long way from you and probably a lot dearer than a local pick up option but if you are using a lot then they might be an option.
  14. You should really put a link in when you are telling people about your finds.
  15. Until it's used in a threatening manner then it is.
  16. Good frost here this morning and not got over 4°c all day.
  17. I have an old Dynamac from Machine Mart, it's made by the same firm who makes Emak, Oleo-Mac and Efco saws. My Dynamac is a heavy thing for 41cc but it's been reliable over the years and only needed a carb kit.
  18. I picked a couple of canvas tarps up from Anchor Supplies. They were outside in a stillage and were £10 each. One of them turned out to be a Scorpion tent and a mate bought it off me for £25 to use on his Land Rover.
  19. Never mind all this let's have another look at the weather in Mexico (turn the volume down though, the Australian is a bit coarse) [ame] [/ame]
  20. If they privatise the NHS I want all my contributions back with interest, that's the only way I would be able to afford any treatment in future
  21. I've seen that on a few sites now, it's not even photoshopped well
  22. They are committing an offence if they have piped the water into your land and you could be entitled to compensation for any damage it causes or work that you have to carry out to accommodate the increase.
  23. 50 mph gusts here and it's spittin'. Get them kids in Jon.
  24. Try a Fiskars blade in it, there can't be that much difference.
  25. If they had a location in their signature we could see where they are
