  1. The earth is not at the same distance from the sun all the time as it is on an elliptical orbit so when we are further away it will be cooler. I tested this hypothesis by sitting further away from the fire and it works.
  2. Some say he is part Lemur and torments his groundies when he gets bored. [ame] [/ame]
  3. I'm 63 now and there's a rookery here where we used to climb up to the nests when I was a kid. We used to take 6" nails to get up to the bottom branches and knock them in with a brick, sorry if anyone ever gets the job of taking them down. I don't know if it's an illusion but they look taller now than they used to then.
  4. You need some leather Le Chameau, bargain at £335.
  5. Back of the net
  6. I'll help you out here, it says Red Line synthetic oil Mine is something I made and it amuses me.

  8. I had that on my 135 and it was the rubber not seated properly where it sits in the metal cover under the bar. It was creased and I just undid the cover and straightened it out and it worked fine after.
  9. Anything coming into contact with oil or fuel should be something suitable like Viton.
  10. Reminds me of someone, no not Jon. [ame] [/ame]
  11. That's how it works in my head as well thanks for confirming it.
  12. Can you explain as I have read this and don't see how it works ? If a saw is doing 13,000 rpm the chain is travelling at the same speed no matter what length it is. The sprocket size is the deciding factor isn't it ? The individual cutters will be coming round more often as there are less of them but they will still be at the same speed won't they ? I'm trying to get my head round this so don't laugh at me.
  13. Sympathies to you, there are a lot of nerves in finger ends. Hope you recover quickly and well.
  14. I has got a new chain
  15. All done from a moop (mobile overhead operating platform) Nice video and strange the tree not being hollow at the bottom I thought. Is that a common thing ?
  16. I doubt if you'd get them down the barrel
  17. You are not Reg Coates! No, I'm Spartacus !
  18. What's it made of ? 10 bar sounds a lot, 150 psi in what looks like some plastic waste pipe
  19. Dwyle flonking and bog snorkelling but mostly reading and cycling at the moment (not at the same time though)
  20. It's to allow for the extra time cleaning down the chipper

    Jokes???

You can't run through a campsite you can only ran because it's past tents.
  23. Forestry commission site on Beeley Moor is getting some attention. We drove past today and they've cut a swathe of softwood down and stacked it. I wonder what it's all going for ?
  24. Both links to a private video. We had a batch of Hawk moth caterpillars on some Willow Herb at the bottom of the garden last year and they were varied in colour from brown to bright green. They were big ones, really well fed about as big as my index finger.
  25. It's a 10 tooth tip isn't it ?
