  1. Time this thread died or was moved to a relevant forum. Is there a slanging match forum on the site ?
  2. I looked at this and wondered if they had a chart when I was born and still not sure but found that Frankie Laine was the best seller with I Believe, June 1952
  3. I typed a reply to this but it sounded discouraging but here goes anyway. A friend of mine had a Homelite saw given him and it would only run flat out. I tried adjusting the carb but it made no difference apart from stopping it from running altogether. It was not worth pursuing any further so I just got it back to running flat out and it got thrown in the back of his shed. Screw the tick over screw in to speed it up then set the H and L screws to about one and a quarter turns out from shut then re-adjust the tick over. I had to take some limiters off his and the screw heads were pac man type I think.

    old old saw

What metal is it made of and how much does it weigh ? Collectors will pay for original equipment but it's finding the market. If it's sentimental value you can't put a price on it. edit:- it will not run as it is there is no HT lead on it.
  5. You just change the "soft headed fools" to "discerning customers" and they will sell like hot cakes
  6. You say Gary and Sue work together, it's probably a con by the two of them to screw you over for compensation. How is their company doing? You have to think deeper about this. Conspiracy theorist at work here.
  7. I only got 9 in the time allotted and 4 of those were cabbage whites. I've deliberately waited till the Buddleia flowered as well as that usually draws quite a few in. Peacock butterflies are completely absent this year.
  8. It's the last day for the butterfly count today, I did it yesterday while I sat reading in the garden and was surprised how few were around compared to last year.
  9. They give him a good discount to put it back on again
  10. You need more PPE, a mask as well as the Hi-viz should do the trick.
  11. Workshop manual says not to reuse them but if they are not mangled to death I would. MS261 WshopManual.pdf
  12. The ladybird larva is there because it is finding lots of aphids (which are the cause of the problem) to eat. Let them get on with it.
  13. Not tree related but a couple of years ago a mobile crane went along the street opposite us and took 12 phone wires down before the driver was alerted to what had happened.
  14. Because they wrote it in the first line of their post Home user here and I bought my Husqvarna 135 from you. Helmet and visor with muffs is my obvious choice of PPE essential but I do wear bib and brace trousers as well and a pair of general purpose grip gloves. My axe is a car boot special with a polyprop handle or a Lidl maul with a fibreglass handle.
  15. Pineapples grow on a low plant like a Yucca. It does sound like it should grow on a pine tree though and looks a bit like a closed pine cone. [ame] [/ame]
  16. There was a pub called the Elm Tree in Clay Cross but it had no grounds for a tree to stand in and it's closed down now. Quite a few Royal Oaks round here too.
  17. Get your postage cost including the cost of packaging and add a bit for paypal fees. Send 2nd class signed for so they cannot say it was not received.
  18. That's how it should be isn't it ?
  19. Once a fortnight is not much for a lawn in the growing season. It looks like it needs scarifying to get some thatch out of it.
  20. 420 years 3 months 1 week 5 days.
  21. We use a quick boil gas kettle when camping and it really does boil quicker than a conventional kettle but I wouldn't use it on an open fire it's way too pretty.
  22. Tried to read it but kept thinking of this [ame] [/ame]
  23. I can honestly say I've never seen an air filter that bad before They have my sincerest admiration.
  24. Deutx, were they early Deutz models ?
  25. Just smear some Castrol LM grease on your silencer, it smells like Castrol R when it melts.
