  1. The hole in the tree looks like it has been healing for a good few years so if it is only just showing detrimental effects I doubt it was anything to do with what is happening now.
  2. Do a google search for push pull cables, a few firms custom make them to order. A friend of mine had some made for a kit car at cable-tec Kirkby in Ashfield and they were good to deal with.
  3. Bend it back out and put something round in to hold it in place while you Araldite it then cut the thread back in with a file by removing the excess glue. It's worth a try.
  4. No kill it now. I don't like lilac trees, the flowers last about 10 minutes then go brown and look horrible.
  5. Yes I always use mine single handed on the ground since I cut my other arm off using the top handle single handed on the ground I ask a passer by to start it for me.

    wow!!!

Did the kid say "He's an acrobat" It looked like he turned round to step off the ladder when only half way down, probably used to doing bungalow roof work And when I snap my fingers you'll be back with us........
  7. Standard youtube safety gear There were some Haix boots on gumtree for about £100 worth a look on there.
  8. It's a Husharna with no V but it has the proper name on the bar supplied. Someone probably put the wrong sticker on the saw
  9. Is the trailer jacking up then releasing the brake ?
  10. Did you buy on eBay ? Start a claim through their procedure and they will refund you if you get no result.
  11. Have you got the original bolt and cup washer for the brake handle. It was missing on my 036 and a replacement had been fitted with a plain washer. I bought a proper one and it was twice as long as it looked like it should be so there might still be some thread at the bottom of the hole in yours.
  12. Here's just the job for you then Big Hedge

How would they go about this ? Polling up to working crews and asking them for proof they own their tackle would not go down very well, how many carry their receipts round with them ? There isn't a database for them to check like there is with road vehicles.
  14. Pine Martens and Weasels or birds of prey are more likely to have killed a rabbit and stashed it, it would hardly have been a starter for a Leopard size animal although domestic cats gone feral are known to live on rabbit.
  15. Put it on a fan fiction website at least. Edward Lear can't claim anything better. (not just because he's dead either )
  16. Risotto is rice not pasta It might work if you use canole for chain oil
  17. It's a bit of a false economy not to buy a cheap helmet as you will pay as much for a mesh visor and hearing protectors in the long run. You could use ear plugs and glasses or mesh glasses or just a face screen but cover your ears with something.
  18. We used to be able to buy if straight from the sewage plant years ago (40 or so years ago) but it did have an aroma all of it's own for a few days. It was just like a fine brown soil. My uncle would not buy new potatoes when he found they were imported from Egypt as he said they fertilise them direct from the source (crap in the field ) I think it was from service days though not based on any new evidence.
  19. Severe weather warning with wind up to 60mph later, just a bit of a breeze and bright sunshine now but it still doesn't feel very warm.
  20. I wear a pair of ordinary gloves when cutting, the rubber palm grip gloves sold for gardening but I don't follow the "throttle control" bit as when I use a saw as it should be used the throttle is either on or off, tick over and flat out for cutting. It says that in the manual and I never found a need for part throttle cutting.
  21. They are back on ebay selling as tree and grass spares, still blindstickinsect. I had a few bits off them earlier this year.

    hard day

Is it demonic possession stopping him sliding out of the chair or is the photo the wrong way up ?

I think the hard to work on bit is only if you are stripping to fit new piston and cylinder kind of jobs. A friend of mine has the 039 with a 20" bar and it seems to me it struggles a bit in thick wood but it might just be that the saw is tired.
  24. Same size as me BMI of 23. I'm 63 next month and it's the heaviest I've ever been. I used to struggle to get over 9 stone till I reached my 40s.
  25. Turn it in clockwise to speed up.
