  1. My mate had a cherry tree pollarded last year and was chuffed to bits when they let him tidy up with the leaf blower afterwards
  2. I thought it was going to be something exciting from Terrahawks [ame] [/ame]
  3. Even more so when they put it in yours
  4. If you've checked the bar groove hasn't pinched anywhere and the chain is oiling it must be what Stubby is saying, make sure you are lifting the tip of the bar when you tighten the nuts on the side.
  5. It doesn't spread by seeds it is purely vegetative reproduction by sections of rhizome. RHS site describes it here. I have some growing over the wall from me on land belonging to the local Chinese and they are not really interested in it so when it gets close I go over and chop it down but this year I got some Rosate glyphosate from the local allotment and am trying spraying at 20% and injecting neat into the stems of the nearest ones. It seems to weaken them within days.
  6. We used to use the airstream ones in the foundry I worked in and they didn't cool any more than the ambient temperature there is a filter at the back and a further tubular one over the top of your head to direct the air down your face so you don't breathe dust.
  7. I like his redneck PPE
  8. You should have chucked some bread in downstream, the swan thought you were going to feed it.
  9. Here's what I thought of straight away
  10. Wait till it gets to your friend's property then contact the owner of the infected land and tell them you are going to take legal proceedings. Third party litigation – Landowners can be sued for costs and damages if they fail to prevent knotweed from spreading to a neighbouring property. Also failure to manage and dispose of Japanese knotweed responsibly may lead to prosecution.
  11. It's a juicer
  12. The hole in the tree looks like it has been healing for a good few years so if it is only just showing detrimental effects I doubt it was anything to do with what is happening now.
  13. Do a google search for push pull cables, a few firms custom make them to order. A friend of mine had some made for a kit car at cable-tec Kirkby in Ashfield and they were good to deal with.
  14. Bend it back out and put something round in to hold it in place while you Araldite it then cut the thread back in with a file by removing the excess glue. It's worth a try.
  15. No kill it now. I don't like lilac trees, the flowers last about 10 minutes then go brown and look horrible.
  16. Yes I always use mine single handed on the ground since I cut my other arm off using the top handle single handed on the ground I ask a passer by to start it for me.

    wow!!!

Did the kid say "He's an acrobat" It looked like he turned round to step off the ladder when only half way down, probably used to doing bungalow roof work And when I snap my fingers you'll be back with us........
  18. Standard youtube safety gear There were some Haix boots on gumtree for about £100 worth a look on there.
  19. It's a Husharna with no V but it has the proper name on the bar supplied. Someone probably put the wrong sticker on the saw
  20. Is the trailer jacking up then releasing the brake ?
  21. Did you buy on eBay ? Start a claim through their procedure and they will refund you if you get no result.
  22. Have you got the original bolt and cup washer for the brake handle. It was missing on my 036 and a replacement had been fitted with a plain washer. I bought a proper one and it was twice as long as it looked like it should be so there might still be some thread at the bottom of the hole in yours.
  23. Here's just the job for you then Big Hedge

    Busy Plod

How would they go about this ? Polling up to working crews and asking them for proof they own their tackle would not go down very well, how many carry their receipts round with them ? There isn't a database for them to check like there is with road vehicles.
  25. Pine Martens and Weasels or birds of prey are more likely to have killed a rabbit and stashed it, it would hardly have been a starter for a Leopard size animal although domestic cats gone feral are known to live on rabbit.
