  1. Very true, but it’s no good as it is so I need to do something
  2. Maybe it’s been like it for a while but today I noticed my 500i was really flopping about and not feeling sturdy at all. It seems to have a lot of play in all the mounts compared to my colleagues much newer model. Especially the one right at the front below the exhaust, I suspect this one may have disintegrated. Has anyone else had trouble with this? Should I buy one of these fallers suspension kits from west coast saw? Or I have read somewhere the ms661 av mounts will fit and are a lot sturdier, but I don’t know if this is true or not. Cheers
  3. I’m not sure on the difference between the 560/562. I’m quite new to husqys myself so am no expert but I’m quessing it’s just the latest model. My 560 is definitely a better all round forestry saw than my stihl 362 was.
  4. Husqy 560 18 inch bar is a great all round forestry saw for all the small/medium trees and snedding out the big ones. Stihl 500i on a 25 inch bar for everything else. That is my combo at the moment and to be pair it’s my favorite pairing of saws I’ve ever had.
  5. Climate, soil type, planting density, can’t think of a 4th
  6. Buckin billy ray Abies logger Westcountry loggers
  7. Tip site for hard and softwood timber. Please text 07803819628 to arrange as someone needs to be around to show you where to tip it. Happy to pay cash for better quality loads.
  8. I know it’s a long shot but does anyone know of a nptc chainsaw refresher course for this coming Monday or Tuesday in the South West? Mine has just run out after 5 years and need refreshing before I can work on commission land. Cheers
  9. Thanks for your advice. Yes the light at the top the the cylinder is the flash of the camera. There is a few very faint scratches on the sides of the low end. But not deep enough to feel with your nail . I will rub it down with 240 and Wd and measure with new rings like you said.
  10. Evening I’m about to replace the piston and cylinder on my 461. I have been given a used but original cylinder and I’ve ordered a meteor piston and rings. I’m just wondering if this is still in good enough condition to use? I hope these pictures are good enough to see. Also what gasket sealant would people recommend to use when fitting a new cylinder and exhaust gasket? Thanks
  11. Very true wise words, I did steep ground felling and winching for 5 years. Driving 2-3 hours a day to sites, and now it’s over, life is a doddle. And I’m farming of all things
  12. My springer bitch loves ignoring signs and climbing all over timber stacks
  13. Does anyone here deliver seasoned logs to milverton in Somerset? Pm me please if you, or know anyone that does. Cheers
