  1. Could you just stick lumps of 3x2 to the gable end with some pink grip from screwfix ?
  2. I'm sat in the living room watching the biggest blackest clouds I've seen for years and they are racing across the sky really fast but it's not raining and only a bit blustery here and it's really dark for the time as well.

    Sick transit

I like the new Transit shape although it doesn't look as businesslike as the older versions. Did anyone else read the title of the thread and think the same as me, sick transit gloria mundi ?
  4. I blame it all on soap operas. People think they have to have conflicts all the time.
  5. That's an odd size they are special for the chemical industry to carry 4 45 gallon drums which is what you want them for obviously. Most pallet refurbishing outlets deal in 1200x1000 or 1200x800 euro pallets. The factory I used to work at got specials made and delivered from iPTS but they are a long way from you and probably a lot dearer than a local pick up option but if you are using a lot then they might be an option.
  6. You should really put a link in when you are telling people about your finds.
  7. Until it's used in a threatening manner then it is.
  8. Good frost here this morning and not got over 4°c all day.
  9. I have an old Dynamac from Machine Mart, it's made by the same firm who makes Emak, Oleo-Mac and Efco saws. My Dynamac is a heavy thing for 41cc but it's been reliable over the years and only needed a carb kit.
  10. I picked a couple of canvas tarps up from Anchor Supplies. They were outside in a stillage and were £10 each. One of them turned out to be a Scorpion tent and a mate bought it off me for £25 to use on his Land Rover.
  11. Never mind all this let's have another look at the weather in Mexico (turn the volume down though, the Australian is a bit coarse) [ame] [/ame]
  12. If they privatise the NHS I want all my contributions back with interest, that's the only way I would be able to afford any treatment in future
  13. I've seen that on a few sites now, it's not even photoshopped well
  14. They are committing an offence if they have piped the water into your land and you could be entitled to compensation for any damage it causes or work that you have to carry out to accommodate the increase.
  15. 50 mph gusts here and it's spittin'. Get them kids in Jon.
  16. Try a Fiskars blade in it, there can't be that much difference.
  17. If they had a location in their signature we could see where they are
  18. Internet sellers must still be local for somebody. I bought from an internet seller world of power but only 30 miles from here and if I'd had problems not too far to take it back under warranty.
  19. Like Landies, the threads never die
  20. Nottingham lace
  21. You let him have his own money, what kind of concept is that
  22. Drying out a bit here now but some high winds forecast for later in the week. It's still mild though.
  23. Probably easier to buy a second hand replacement and keep yours for spares, depends how much you want to spend on it.
  24. That's pretty close to the bearing and looks like it's working it's way round. It will let go in a big way soon or if it is pulling air through the crack it will probably seize first. You should replace the whole crankcase as a matched pair but separate halves do come up sometimes. It's not a little job though. Link to harry's listing, it looks like something you might be able to use.
  25. Does he know how to use a saw ? A friend of mine was having trouble with his firewood saw, chain coming loose along with clutch cover and when I looked at it with him he was not locating the adjuster pin in the bar hole. I explained what it does and showed him how to do it and turn the bar over (Oh no the writing is upside down !) and why you do it and sent him on his way. He has had no problem since
